"Hacking" The Promotion On Steemit
The promote button is unavailable, why and for how long, I'm curious to understand. The promoted tab is now showing all promoted posts until their final payout. A good move!
With Steemit's first birthday and the announcement that there is a new member in the Steemit Inc team, @zurvanic who from now on will handle the marketing aspect of Steemit, things are getting interesting. It's no coincidence, in my opinion, that the promote button disappeared the moment someone took over the marketing department. I'm eager to see what happens next. Also, it appears that a team of designers work to facelift the front end. Very exciting news.
Meanwhile, you can still totally promote your posts! Go to your wallet, transfer some SBD to @null, in the memo use the link of your post like this:

Remember to promote only posts 24 hours before posting them, otherwise, they will not appear.

Steemians have to workaround because it is a Beta.
Upvoted and Followed. I heard it was a bug. But I will not promote until it's fixed and I think you might have to compete with all of the posts that should be expired from the Promotions Tab.
Hopefully, the will add a block button which is badly need not only to prevent hassles, harassemnt and cyberstalking, but also to limit legal liability in such cases as well to improve user experience.
