5 life lessons I found on Steemit
Hi Steemians,
The 5 life lessons that have emerged right here on Steemit;
1. SUCCESS LIES IN ROUTINE:
As with everything in life, success comes by doing a little bit everyday, blogging is no different! The secret is to have, and chip away at your personal goals each day. I found it is much better to post everyday than to do random postings. People just appreciate it if you show up each day. I don't know why it should matter on a platform like Steemit, but it does! Therefore, if great daily habits brings success in life, then routine in Steemit activity is sure to do the same.
2. TIME FLIES WHEN YOU HAVING FUN:
I don't know about you, but one of the following two things always seems to happen to me. Firstly, I'm always engaged in some sort of creative process, which never seems as long as it actually is.
Secondly, while curating other posts, one seems to be transported into new realms and challenged in new dimensions; that one tends to lose track of time, then all too often, before you know it, it's time to call it a day.
It seems like only yesterday that I opened my account, and unbelievably, it's now been many days, weeks and even months that have elapsed, imperceptibly. Time truly does fly when you're having fun!
3. ASSISTING OTHERS IS UNIVERSAL:
Wow, it feels so good to be assisting fellow Steemians! One does not have to look very far to find an initiative or project geared towards helping fellow Steemians. Posts directed at educating and uplifting others are plentiful! Are you in on the action?
4. DOING WHAT YOU LOVE IS IT'S OWN REWARD:
I often pass sites are been left abandoned, after a short few days or weeks. It's immediately apparent that the financial expectations failed to materialise, and no other incentive exists.
Other times I find blog where I see a fellow Steemians posting day in and day out for very little financial reward. It is evident that there is passion! Whether it is posting a daily photograph, connecting with fellow steemians OR delivering the latest updates - these Steemians are committed and passionate. They truly love what they doing!!! For them the rewards will come with time!
5. SMALL INCREMENTAL GAINS DO ADD UP:
Do you remember the day you started with 0 SBD, 25 Reputation, Delegated SP and 0 account Balance? See what you have achieved in a few short weeks or months. True, everybody's account balance is different! Some have achieved more than others, however that can be attributed solely as to how they have applied themselves. There is no reason why the next few months can't be different or better for everyone! Diligently apply yourselves to accruing daily incremental gains; they do add up!

@a-quarius - Thank-you for you comment and support! I believe that Steemit is a platform that allows us to express ourselves in which ever manner we choose. We should use it to promote those ideals which we personally pursue, to do our bit of good in the world. What a golden opportunity!! If and when I get paid for doing that - what a bonus! Many people do what we are doing on facebook for no payment...

Although, financial gain would be fabulous, my sole intention when joining steemit was to create content because I love it. I can see where consistency would play an important part, like any other social media platform, staying in the eyes of the followers.
I have one week under my belt and still a whole lot to learn. Exciting! :) Thanks for these key points!
@tressareid - Thank-you for commenting. Steemit is a tough environment for newbies and it's tough to get through the first few days and weeks if your heart is not in the right place. I'm a firm believer that if we consistently do what we believe to be the right thing for us, the rewards will follow.

I completely identify with this post. I had the conversation with my boyfriend today about how Steemit has finally given me an outlet for all the things left unsaid in my head (which i find too funny to waste), and also a community to look forward to to interact with people. The conversation and your words make me firmly stand my ground with the niche I picked for my blog and I get more happiness out of having a consistent hobby, friends, community, and laughs then anything else. So the money aspect would be only a bonus. I can't wait to continue to grow and see where my writing takes me and how it changes. I love it here. hugs
