Ladder.net - Getting Started Guide To The Ladder Post Scheduler.

in #steemit8 years ago

Below are instructions on how to signup, register and account and schedule a post with the app from Ladder.net

*Please keep in mind that this is not a live document. It was created Dec/4/2016 9:30 am UTC -4. As we make changes and add functionality we will need to update these steps. If in doubt check the dashboard page when you login to Ladder.net

Step 1

Go to ladder.net and click on either the LOGIN button or the REGISTER button if you have not signed up yet.

Step 2

When you first login - you will notice a drop-down box the top-right corner with your username on it. This is where you LOGOUT and also contains a settings area where you can change your email address, your language and location as well as the ability to CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD.

Step 3

Click on the Authors link on the left side bar. Ignore all of the boxes at this point and simply CLICK THE BIG GREEN CREATE NEW AUTHOR BOX.

Step 4

Enter your Steemit Account Name. Make sure you do not put the @ symbol. You will also need to put your posting key. This is a different key/password than the one for your main account. Please read this guide: :https://steemit.com/steemit-guides/@rgeddes/getting-your-posting-key---made-easy if you need help getting your posting key.

Step 5

When your author has been created you sill receive a green message at the top of your screen saying that the author creation was successful. You may now type the Author name into the box and hit enter - you will be able to see your author as seen below. Make sure you do not use the @ symbol.

Step 6

The boxes are for searching already scheduled posts. You can ignore the boxes and simply click on the ** GREEN "Create New Post" Button**

Step 7

You may now paste in your post (if you have used an offline editor) or you may begin using our Markdown Editor. The features of our Markdown GUI are pretty standard - if there is something you can't find - its probably not available. We are bound by Steemit's constraints - so you will still have to mix in HTML. Make sure that your Author is your account name without the @, Your subject is exactly as you want it to appear on Steemit and your content is exactly how you want it to appear on Steemit.

Step 8

Enter the appropriate tags for you post. Now you will be presented with the Post Datetime box. This shows the current date and time in UTC. Please do some research on Google to make sure you get your timing right. Toronto is UTC -4 - if you live in Toronto or eastern Canada and the United States - you will need to add 4 hours to the post-time you want. Check out https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter-classic.html - for a timezone converter. You want to display YOUR POST TIME in London, UK time.

IF YOU DO NOT SPECIFY A TIME THE POST WILL BE SENT IMMEDIATELY!!!

Step 9

If you receive a GREEN BAR at the top that says success - then your post has been setup!

Step 10

If you need to manage a post there are two places to look. First of all select posts in the left navigation. Now type your account name without the "@" in the Author box. Now hit enter. You should see all the posts that you have made that have not been sent yet. You are able to edit/delete them until the point they are sent. Once the post has been sent it will show up in your Steemit blog. If it is not showing in Ladder and you have already successfully posted in the past - it has been sent to Steemit and needs to be edited there. Otherwise try the steps again - pay particular attention to your Posting Key and your Account name,

Been looking out for a tool like this so that I can post when my Steemit community is awake - rather than asleep when I am awake down under.

Well done and thanks

Aussies are part of the reason we made this App! Everyone writes to a different audience and there is value in having a post sent at the time when your audience is on.

Ladder.net is proof that you can have a life and be an author on Steemiit!

Good test coming up. I posted #25 in my series on orchids yesterday during the day my time. Earned $0.10. Today's post will be scheduled - similar content and will see if the payout differs

I dont know if thats the most accurate way.. It would have to be an identical to really to A/B testing. There is a report someone makes (im trying to dig it up) it shows the prime times for users... Someone puts it out once a week..

This is really clever!

This is great, Going to register asap!

Can`t wait to try this. Great Job!
