First of all, make sure you resteem this, as we need to reach all Dutch people, plus anyone who can speak Dutch, plus anyone who knows anyone who is Dutch, you get the picture! That is why this post is in English! As you are all aware, @steemspoker has been trying his utmost best for some time now to bring all of us to together. He is now the “uncrowned king of the Netherlands on Steemit”. Through his initiatives we have managed to find each other more easily, resulting in more followers, upvotes and restreems of each other’s content. This is obviously tremendous since for now it is all about being seen, and that is going very well. We can do better though.
That is also the message that I pick up from his posts and I hope he will anyway continue with these posts that unite us. Steemit is not really the right place to chat with each other about subjects that don’t really deserve a post or comment. If we look at the initiatives that other countries have started, then you will see that as a team we are running behind. We also don't have that many members yet, only 110 members. I commented on this topic and among others @finance2nomad posted good responses. Yesterday by chance we bumped into each other on the PAL server in Discord and almost immediately took further action to complement those of @steemspoker. Thanks to @finance2nomad, TeamNL can now be found on the PAL (Peace, Abundance, Liberty) server in Discord with immediate effect! A few Discord users of Discord that were members from the PAL server have already found the teamnl channel, but herewith the first “official” announcement regarding this.
Discord is a free of charge voice and chat tool that initially was used for the gaming world. Many Steemit users are now using Discord on top of Steemit to create a place to simply connect with each other outside of Steemit to discuss all kinds of different issues with each other. One of the servers is the PAL server, which most of you will know from the minnowsupport initiative. This is however only one of the channels just like teamnl is also now a channel. Suggestions for the use of the teamnl channel The teamnl channel is a channel that we can use to connect with each other outside of Steemit.
Here we can chat with each other, share business ideas, develop initiatives together and help each other. All I am doing here is saying that it is available. I am not making any decisions. Together we will decide how to use and manage it. When we get together from time to time and interact with each other, things happen. I do have a number of suggestions for the use of the channel, but these are not rules, just guidelines:
Use the teamnl tag at the end of every post you place. I have been doing that for a while. This way you can request the content very easily. It doesn’t matter whether it is written in English or Dutch. English will be better with regards to getting a wider audience, of course. I am planning at least two posts a day, this way they will resurface and given a resteem. This however won’t be done at the expense of my voting power, but it does help, as it will be seen by a fresh audience.
If I happen to really like your post or find it really interesting then I can always upvote the post and I will then definitely follow you, if I happen to think that your blog is interesting. It would be really cool if all of us 110+ members would post a few posts every day and at least resteem each other’s posts. Of course you can see it right away but then a resteem helps to get more exposure quickly.
Don’t only do this for people you follow but also for those that you are not (yet) following.
Use the teamnl channel in Discord to find each other and to get to know each other.
Use the teamnl channel to post subjects that you think are worth sharing with each other.
Use the teamnl channel not as a spam channel to just dump your post and leave, there are other channels for that.
Use the teamnl channel to ask for help and help each other. Use the teamnl channel to share ideas with the group and let’s discuss these together. The next step is then for us investigate these ideas more fully.
How do I become a member of the PAL server to find the teamnl channel? Good question…I have had to research this myself, but at the end it was pretty simple. The problem is that you often need a direct link that redirects you to the PAL server and often by the time you click on it this link has already expired.
Step 1: Go to https://discordapp.com and create an account. (tip: use the same username that you use here at Steemit)
Step 2: Verify your account by following the steps that will be sent to you via email.
Step 3: Install the app and log in or use the app online in your browser (I use Discord on my MacBook by using a browser and on my iPhone I have the app).
Step 4: Click on the following link: https://discord.gg/z3ZTpb If everything is correct you should have Discord appearing in the list of channels in the far left column of the PAL server, if you scroll through the channels you will see teamnl automatically.

Voortaan ga ik ook onder 'teamnl' posten en browsen! De rest van Steemit... je komt er gewoon niet tussen, misschien is het beter als wij dutchies ons eigen kliekje vormen
