RE: Why I Think More People (Especially Women) Need to Tune into the Crypto Convo
Fellow female crypto-newbie right here! points to self
Still trying to get my head around it, but I love the concept. You're right though, there needs to be more available information about it. I've been trying to get my fellow authors and friends to use Steemit in general and they're too afraid of it, or they think it's too complex.
I would have to agree on both accounts. I'm still afraid of it, but I quite like to try new things and see how it works out. I'm not expecting to understand it straight away, but if I continue to dabble in it, I'm hoping I'll get it eventually.
As for being complex, well, the same goes with learning to understand it. I remember starting my university degree, looking at my assignments I had to complete and freaking out, but once I learnt the content and the skills, it seemed less daunting.
Would love to know if there was any decent sources where I could learn more about this crypto world though. :)
What a great way to put it all with your reference about going to college & it seeming intimidating at first! That is a very relatable point and valid. Once people become more involved with it all and here crypto conversations often, they will become more in tune with the language. :)
As far as sources go, I do have to say that a lot of what I found was from looking all over the internet... not really one consolidated place (which I know helps none) but I can consolidate the best sources for you and others that asked! :)
The best resources I know about is definitely the books by Andreas Antonopoulos.
I would recommend "Mastering bitcoin". It focuses specifically on bitcoin but at the same time gives you a good understanding of the blockchain and cryptocurrencies in general. My experience is that this book is a lot more beneficial than watching youtube videos made by people who doesn't really understand the technology as they seem to, or reading blog posts by the same kind of people. The book have some very technical parts but even if you skip those parts, I still believe it is more beneficial than the alternatives.
Thanks, guys!
I'll have a look at that book. :)
I had the feeling that a lot of peope are talking about bitcoin, blockchain and cryptocurrenies don't really understand it, and that's where I've become either completely confused or overwhelmed by it all.
