How To Protect Your Steemit Account From Phishers or Scammers
A few of my friends @annieben, @jajafresh, @peterwrites etc has succumbed to the tricks of these scammers or Phishers and has lost over 100SBD in total to these guys.
This post is inspired by recent happenings of Phishers cloning the Steemit site or sharing URL links as comments under posts to hack into people account.
Others got hacked by friends who somehow got access to their phones. Do you know logging in your email in someone's phone using Google Chrome automatically sync all saved sites and passwords to their Chrome. This can as well be the case.
To ensure your Steemit account is protected from these bad fellas, you need to follow these simple steps.
- Don't log in with your master key. Log in and save your posting keys.
- Use active keys when you're transferring funds
- Use incognito tab if you must use someone else's device to access your account
And to scanners or Phishers, please desist from this eveil act. We all can make it without having to steal
