Reasons Steemit Is My Favorite Social Media Platform
The other day, I wrote about people who hop on the interwebs and advertise that you can make 1k/day on steemit and that's all they focus on when trying to get new users to the platform.
Then a couple of days later, I went to catch up on @whatsup's posts as I always do now because she's a great writer...
...and I ended up seeing that she also wants us to spread good stories about steemit (besides just all the $$ ones floating around there).
I immediately knew I wanted to chime in, 'cause it's a great mission and goes hand in hand with what I was just talking about the other day.
@whatsup is hosting a contest called #SteemStory and it basically encourages us to talk about other reasons we love steemit!
Like, has steemit allowed us to be uncensored whereas other platforms were censored?
Were we able to learn here on steemit? Stuff like that.
So guys, let's make steemit look great again! haha.
I made a video which I don't usually do, but I'm trying to push myself out of my comfort zone and get better with.
Also, I injured my finger and don't feel like typing (yet here I am. This is for you anti-video folks).
My reasons are basically this (for the short version):
I've made more friends here than on any other social media platform, which is crazy because I've only been around for 5 months!
The community is so supportive and encouraging! I feel like superwoman here. I'm VERY inspired to get better at photography, writing, and video because I want to create content for the community. I'm very motivated to just keep improving here, and I know people will support me along the way.
I feel like I can ask for help here, whereas, on other platforms, it would feel really out of place to ask for help with something like giving me tips on editing video or something. Here though, I feel totally safe to do that and people really do help! I can do so much growing here!
I look forward to steemit every day! I get excited when I talk about it. My face lights up. I mean, I'm not looking at it when I'm talking to people...
...but it FEELS like it lights up.
It's social media with a mission to change the world. No censorship. Social media with a mission. With a purpose.
That's something to get excited about!

Look, I was going to comment that your picture in Steemit's clothes was beautiful and there could be no better beauty. That, until I watched your video and see that you were prettier still!!!
Well, back to the topic of posting, I did not understand your video, because my native language is not English and I am not proficient at hearing what people speak in that language. I can only understand around 50 to 60% of what is spoken. However, reading your post, I recognize your reasons for liking the Steemit and I say that, this platform changed my life, because, besides being able to learn from other posts about the subjects I want, I made friends here and I can have a "monthly remuneration" that will help me To pay the Bills hehehe.

One point I loved that you made, was being able to feel comfortable in asking people for help on steemit, common courtesy goes a long way here. Like you said, if you ask someone something on YouTube, it's not like they'll just reply to you and help. Steemit is so different in that!

Lol that voice comment made me laugh because one time, I remember talking on the phone to a guy for the first time and he said I sounded like a fat man hahaha.

The sense of humor I was talking about, was when you mentioned jamming your finger, the jam part. And when you were talking about making good content, then you added "as I'm recording in this crappy dark room" Or something like that hahah was funny how you said it.
haha oh yeah I guess I don't even notice things I say anymore! lol yes thanks so much for the snapseed tip! About a month after you told me about it, I met a guy who edits all of his photos with snapseed and lightroom so he gave me kind of a tutorial and well, I could still do a lot better but it definitely makes a huge difference!

Hey! I totally agree with you. Steemit is definitely my favorite. I’ve seen the same thing, people here seem to be more willing to help with tips. - And Mosquitoes, they are my kryptonite. Please share more videos of daily life in Bali. 👍🏽
I quit eating sugar 100% even fruit for a little while, and it made mosquitos stop biting me!!! So maybe that's one way to make them stop. I'm only semi-not eating sugar right now, so I get some bites but still not as many as I used to thankfully.
I did ONE bali video so far...it was a few months ago. I'm warming up to using video more often...but if you ask for it...it's coming!! @clintfrazier thank you
