Steemit Account Options - 246

in #steemit6 years ago

#1. @dustsweeper I still recommend this but I would recommend doing .1 SBD at a time and making sure it is profitable.

#2. Bots - I recommend this and you can also use them for comments. There is a .02 payout threshold for posts and comments to get paid. A .019 post or comment shows as .02 but does not get paid. https://steembottracker.com/

#3. Delegations - This is a bit more tricky. You can use @minnowbooster or @delegationhub. You can very easily lose money doing this so for a novice I would recommend not doing it although for 1 Steem you can probably get 25 Steem Power for about 13 weeks so it can be fun to have more voting power and more bandwidth. You can also delegate out Steem power to a bot or an individual. Do not use blocktrades for getting delegations unless you want to for sure lose money.

#4 Steemvoter. You can use this to automate your account and boost your curation awards.

#5. Unfollowing. I do recommend unfollowing some of the people who never upvote you but I do probably follow 5 or 10 people who don't really upvote me.

In general if you have SBD or Steem sitting unused in your account you might want to do something with it like power up or use a bot or perhaps even try giving out or getting a delegation.

Hi
Thanks for encouraging me to use dustsweeper
It has worked out well for me, but I understand the caution. In this down market things get dicey as the bots try to stay afloat
Do you have any ideas about turning dustvotes on posts into dust votes on comments where dustsweeper would actually help?
Maybe a contest ?

Huh? lol
The Steem blockchain is a bit complicated.
I think more people should be using bots on their comments. I'm not sure if that answers your question in any way.
You're strong enough where I think you can just upvote yourself and not even need @dustsweeper which is very nice.
I think it's sad when strong accounts let dustvotes go to waste because they don't believe in self voting especially since sometimes dust accounts would earn some curation money depending on vote timing.

What are the issues with dustsweeper you are seeing?

What Frank said. lol I have kind of been using his account as a partial test but people are saying you only get two upvotes a day max from @dustsweeper and according to their recent blog post they could actually be giving a negative return instead of the 100% return like they were giving.

Paying 0.045$ for a 0.03$ vote? Certainly not. Maybe I will return to being my own dust sweeper

I think it's worth testing out for .1 SBD but year regular bots might be better.

They are no longer giving upvotes for a fixed price. It's now dynamic, so you never know what you will be getting in return for the Steem/Steem dollars you send them. Also it seems they only give 2 upvotes a day max per person.

💡 @mysearchisover get upvote on 50% (VotingPower 7725.51).
The post can fall into a two-day rating and get a reward in the case of Upvote the post

Rules for calling bot:

  • Anyone can leave an appeal under the author of the post, which is in my subscribers.
  • The bot can be called no more than 3 times in 24 hours.
  • Upvote on 90%, if the Voting Power is more than 93%. Upvote on 75% if the Voting Power is between 92% and 85%. Upvote 50% if below 85%.
  • After the Upvote of the comment, the bot votes with more VotingPower.

where's : the highway?
LOL

I was hoping for an epic blog post from the pic but it's just a basic pro-life post. You want some babies? lol

OMG YESSSSS bb adam i want!!!!
yo steem crashed hella hard lol im crying in a ball 😭
das a bitch need das uh $
LOL #pimpinainteasy

I think Steem might fall down to a real dime. lol
I might buy some if it gets down to 10 cents but it's hard to say yet.

Have been trying to get delegation. I guess i will have to offer more to get it.

Almost always unless I run out of Steem. I did notice you were bidding a little bit low. You might want to try Minnowbooster as well.

They are charging 10% fees which seems high. I do have 3 lease running at that price now. If i offer any higher, i won't make decent returns back in curation.

Considering i own the script, i should be able to make better returns then delegation.

It is high but more people seem to use Minnowbooster. I think people don't know about delegationhub.
You should make a killing if you are getting 150% ROI.

Calculation is bit more complex than that. For 250SP, my vote is worth .01$
Which means i get total vote value of 8.4 for 12 weeks, 10 votes a day. I paid 9 steem for 12 weeks. This means that even if i make 100% return in curation, i will lose .6 steem in 12 weeks. So to turn up a profit, i will have to make more than 110%. At 150%, i only make 3.6 steem in 12 weeks which is not a lot.

I think your calculations might not be precise. I think for 250 SP your vote is actually worth about .012. That should make a difference. lol

My 115 SP account votes with .005$ so i should be close.
