Growing my Steemit Account Part 2 (10/13/17)

I am logging my hopeful rise in Steemit community each month to reflect on what I have learned and how I feel about using Steemit. This is the first full month I have been on Steemit literally every single day! Been using my 10votes/day consistently, sometimes more than 10/day but keeping my voting bar above 50%.

I have learned what minnow, dolphins, and whales mean in the Steemit ecosystem. This is important to me because I rely on the big players to help me out. For the month I probably had 90% of my post boosted from whales such as @minnowbooster, @bellyrub, and @randowhale. My advice is save your hard earn SBD and invest into those whales as much as possible. Each buy I have more than 10% return than if I directly converted SBD to Steem Power.

For the month I did not do my part in providing valued content to the Steemit community. Most my posts were short and related to cryptocurrency. Rather than focusing on content I had spent more time figuring out the players on Steemit and how to play the system to help boost my account. Countless hours went into different people's blogs and reading pass and present posts to figure out the system.

I considered this a success as I was very fortunate to have receive some giveaways which I reinvested into steem bots. Without either of them I am likely still under a few pennies for this account.

Goals for this month:
Rather than spending time just on being a curator and I will focus more on authoring better content. Whether or not it brings in the votes is meaningless if I do not try. As a curator I found it difficult for minnows like myself to earn anything. Instead I am deciding to delegate my Steem Power to whales like @minnowbooster. At the very least I am earning daily fractions of a penny. This is better than my curator rewards. Until next month everyone Steem On!
