10 reasons on why YOU should join Steemit
This post is especially directed towards my facebook friends
I have made a list of reasons why you should join Steemit and start sharing your posts here including interesting articles, photographs , travel experiences , or just your own personal blog.
- Uncensored freedom of speech
- Earn for posting/upvoting quality content ( this may be a great way to own your first bit of cryptocurrency)
- No advertisements
- You and you only control your account, with a unique password that you must ensure to keep safe as there is no central authority that will enable you to recover it.
- Get more visibility on search engines, perhaps you are marketing a service or product when posting on Steemit if using proper tags there is a good chance that you will make the top search results on google etc.
- You get to vote for me and comment directly on Steemit :) meaning that we both earn instead of just following my posts through facebook.
- Be a Pioneer, Steemit is still in the early phases and if it continues to grow one day you might find that your Steem might be worth a small fortune.
- Stop working for facebook, they use our data and sell it to companies. Every post on facebook including every like is used for their benefit not ours.
- Decentralized decision making is not controlled by any central authority so any changes to be made are to determined by witness voting which is great.

No forced advertisement. If you visit my blog you will see ads, but I placed them there and anything they generate is my profit, not Steemit's. I can publish just fine with or without ads ;)

That's what Steemit is about. But not freedom of responsibility... remember you can't truly delete anything :p
