Promoting Steem at Blockchain Meetup in Bangalore [Help Required!]
I have been using Steemit from past 3 months, it has been a great journey so far. I'm amazed by Steem Blockchain, how it works and about how people make use of it to build awesome applications like Utopian, eSteem, Busy, Steepshot, DTube etc. I want Steemit to grow further and it should reach millions of people. Awareness about Blockchain and Bitcoin is growing a lot, similarly I want Steemit also to gain more popularity. Countries like
I'm excited to let everyone know that I'll be talking about Steem Blockchain at local meetup group - Blockchain Bangalore! I have been contemplating about it for quiet sometime. Finally I have made up my mind and meanwhile got an arena too.
About meetup group
This meetup group is created for Blockchain enthusiast in and around Bangalore. Off late there have been quiet alot of events about Bitcoin and Blockchain in Bangalore. There are many people who are interested to know about Bitcoin & Blockchain. Indian exchanges like Unocoin, ThroughBit are based out of Bangalore. Many developers in Bangalore are working on Blockchain based solutions and indeed investment in Cryptocurrency has increased in India.
So far 55 people have shown interest to attend this meetup. It includes bitcoin enthusiast, developers, investors, students etc.
Purpose
Some of reasons for bringing up this talk is,
- Create awareness about Steem Blockchain & how it is different from traditional social networks.
- Introduction to Steemit
- Talk about account creation, importance of keys.
- How does the reward system work
- Provide details about authoring and curating contents
- Long term commitment through Steem power and Cash out options
- Give insights about other apps like Utopian, Steepshot, eSteem etc
Future plan
Promoting Steem should not be stopped with just one or two events, so I believe that discussions should continue event after the event.
- If many people are interested then we can organise recurring meetups.
- Create awareness and promote steem in other meetup groups and other cities too.
- Steemians can share their experience, what worked and what didn't work etc.
Help Required
I'm calling for help from fellow Steemians on the following things. Help me to resolve the below stuffs.
- I'm looking for an image/diagram to depict how the Steem Blockchain work and about reward system
- Is there any intro video of Steem/Steemit which can be used ?
- If there is any amazing topic which I have missed in the above section, kindly let me know.
- Is it allowed to use new Steemit logo in presentation ?
