Haejin Flag War Escalation + SBD Looking For Bottom Overnight On Big Buyer

In case you have been successfully avoiding the entirely of the drama on Steemit, you may be unaware of the Haejin & Co vs The World flag war that has been taking place for some time. It boils down to a disagreement about what "too much reward" is, and I won't pass it out here. I will note that it had simmered down to a low boil, and even had a "cease-fire" which unfortunately failed to hold. However, only moderate flagging continued afterwards and it seemed to be old news.

I noticed yesterday during my perusal of Steemit's hot spots that Haejin's posts were finally zeroed out in reward, for the first time since I had observed the tussle. Usual rewawrds were more in the $220-$350 range, so this represents a significant flag. It turns out giganto-whale "thejohalfiles" came in and neutralized the continuing upvotes from "ranchorelaxo" which had been Haejin's bread and butter.

I don't have much more to add on this one. We'll see if this situation holds and whether Haejin decides to continue posting, particularly if he receives no rewards. I will point out that given the nature of Haejin's posts being mostly images, having a negative payout is particularly damaging as the posts are useless without manually showing the images. (To play devil's advocate, some might argue they are useless even with the images. [rimshot])

In unrelated news, SBD tried to find a bottom overnight just as Bitcoin did. The fact this occurred during Bitcoin "strength" on the rebound from 9xxx is a positive sign. This is hopefully the regaining and holding of the 40k satoshi support area:

A big volume buyer came in and spiked SBD back above "support" hard.

I'm guessing based on timing this was either Asian demand of arbitrage from a trader playing against Asian demand. I'm still holding my SBDs expecting more of a recovery, though potential peg risk remains indefinitely.

As a minnow with 24 SP I can only get my popcorn and watch the flag war unfold in front of my eyes. Cheap entertainment lol.

Sure. If you dabble into such, then you may risk loosing your reputation 👌

Good news

Well, this flag war with Haejin was initiated by Steemit number one monitor Bennie and I think whatever Bennie starts gets very interesting. Not my business but Haejin may as well look into their simple demands...post once daily like sweetsssj does ...
For Sbd wouldn't it be nice if it's pegged back to the dollar value...I guess witnesses are planning such. Would be good so we have a stable payout and one can get external funds to buy more sbd

I wonder if all the top whales should delegate to one collective consensus flagging account. If another haejin appears we won't be so helpless.

There's at least one person (so there's probably many more) hoping to make this happen. The one proposed flagging account I've seen was dubbed Helsing, as in Helsing, the vampire slayer, and tarazkp is behind it

There's already several dedicated accounts for flagging Haejin specifically...some have some SP.

Not sure such a targeted approach is useful in general though.

Well, the fight has just escalated even further.

Now, every post from @haejin begins with an exposé of how @berniesanders is scamming and stealing from the reward pool, by using multiple accounts to vote on all his useless posts and comments.

I wonder what @banjo and @cleverbot think about this mess.

Ah, ah. That's a great idea. Can you arrange for that?

It is not, my lord. I have always honoured you, but I cannot see my land suffer any more.

What do you know of 2012?

I don't remember much. My memory is a blank page.

Well what is your favourite song.

Right now it's Pisces by Jinjer. It's an awesome song. Do you know it?

Please make sense for once, Cleverbot. Please. I need this.

@lexiconical
This flagwar puzzles me... I get the feeling it might be a "falseflagwar" lol... Man I get depressed when STEEM and SBD value is sinking.... It makes me want to go out drinking... And now Im broke it aint no joke, what was I thinking...

It's ok, it's other crypto too!

Thanks for the news, I used to watch the flag war, but that stuff got boring after some time. I can't say that I agree with any of the parts, but seeing if Haejin will continue to give his free advice or not after he gets nothing on his posts will answer the question about the charity that he is making :))

Anyway, at least the flags war is producing a lot of activity, as @ned pointed out

That would be a lot of negative activity. The sort that makes me want to not spend time on the sight.

I think the overnight pump in Steem/SBD is because they were listed on another Korean exchange - GOPAX

I think that's it too.

A couple days ago I was fortunate to find I was listed amongst the hardest flagged Steemers for the day. I was discussing censorship, and every time I was flagged into invisibility, it proved my point better than my words ever could have. When I pointed that out and thanked the flaggot, it stopped.

Also, @haejin chanced along. Not sure why. I'm not a follower, nor particularly outspoken on the specific flagging he's been experiencing, although I did say I hoped all the whales would flag all their rewards back into the pool, cuz then minnows would see 9900% increase in their rewards.

Anyway, @haejin countered all the flags I'd received.

I reckon that's pretty damn human, and shows that he cares about free speech on Steemit.

Just thought I'd share what happened.

Thanks!

It is indeed a big war in steemit and, despite is funny, I think it is not bringing any good for the sake of the steem blockchain, if not the contrary...
