I will be talking about how we're partly responsible for the attention we get with our dressing, both in life and on steemit.

I'd start with popular Nigerian red carpet host, Denrele. Denrele was narrating his tale on a television some time ago, talking about how people misunderstood his dressing and took him for a mad man. To him, he was only creating a brand by dressing with torn, patched clothing, and outrageous hairstyle.

Also, he said that about the time he started his trademark appearance, whenever he boarded a commercial vehicle, the passengers would all come down just because they thought he was mentally unfit. Whenever he stopped a commercial motorcycle, they would dodge him because they mistook him for something else.
Normally,a person's first contact reaction to anybody whose mode of dressing is far below or above the norm is to first and foremost take a second glance of admiration or disgust (so also with your steemit blog post). It is until the sanity level of such has been determined before others can be comfortable around the person.
If we decide to dress prim and proper, there is a reason. If we choose to dress with the cleavage exposed or the boobs popping out of our dresses, it is also for a reason.(so also your write ups must be for a very good reason,based on who you want to reach).

There are different dressing for different occasions.(so also different tags to use to dress up your various posts on steemit). For instance, if going for an interview, try to keep it neat and simple.
You must consider the organization in which you are to be interviewed first and foremost. what would they expect from you, what is their dress code. You will be surprised to know that some organizations have a “no tie” policy. If you go dressed formally for an interview in such an organization, it will count for nothing to your interviewer.

In as much as you need to make a good impression, you can never go wrong with a well ironed shirt, a mono coloured trouser (a blazer is a good addition) and a formal shoe that matches your belt for guys.
A shirt and skirt or trouser suit is fine for ladies.
Widely known designer, Gianni Versace, he said and i quote;

'being you is the key to proper collection of clothing.

Whatever way you choose to act, let it be for a positive purpose. Whatever way you choose to dress, let it be for respect and not disgust.

so dress the way you want to be addressed.
