Looking for respondents on the academic study of Steemit users experience

in #steemit6 years ago

Hi ,everyone, I am a master student in Kings College London studying digital culture and society, I am currently doing my dissertation study on the blockchain-based social media by using Steemit as case study. Interviews can be conducted anonymously or non-anonymously based on your will, and I guarantee that this interview will be used exclusively for academic research and not for other purposes. If you are willing to take the survey(approximately less than half an hour), please be free to contact me via Email [email protected].

The following are my questions :
(1) When did you begin to know and use Steemit? What's the main reason for you to join the community and post articles on it?

(2) Have you used any other social media before , name 2 or 3 (like Facebook ,Reddit). What do you think is the biggest difference between the blockchain-based social media like Steemit and other UGS sites? Have you tried to submit the links of your steemit articles to other channels like Google, Facebook or Twitter to get more upvote?

(3) Could you introduce how many articles you have posted on steemit, which article have rewarded you the best ? If convenient could you tell us how much have you been financially rewarded totally since you entered Steemit?

(4) Steemit is designed for encourage good content, which tips do you regard as successful articles on Steemit? How would you rank the bellowing factors: early users, frequency of postings, interactions with other users, quality of articles, etc.?

(5) Some users have cooperated to get more “upvote” for each other, such as they organize group in Facebook. However, someone think it is against the principle of discovering “good content” of Steemit. What’s your opinion about that?

(6) How do you evaluate Steemit's existing incentive system? What’ s the use of token in encouraging content creators and curators?

(7) Steemit holds that it can decentralize the platform by rewarding content creators and curators without any centralized intermediaries. Do you think blockchain-based networks can really achieve the goal of “de-centralisation” or “de-apps” and empower the users?
