BEYOND THE GLASS - OH YES... it's WINE TIME!!!!
The weekend has landed and so has WINE TIME!!
(Well it is here anyway hehe) so I thought that introducing something a little bit FUN to my fellow Steemians was in order :)
As 99.999999% of you will know - I am an AVID WINE LOVER! Being a born and bred Capetonian, it is rather hard not to be! lol -
...and so says the rest of Cape Town - raa raa! lol
I mean even my seven year old son is cultured in the art of handling a wine glass properly (stress less - it is grape juice - the non-fermented kind. lol)
We boast some of the most breathtaking and scenic wine routes in the world and some of the worlds most popular wines too.
I mean lets be honest - who WOULDN'T want to sit and sip on wine all day when you live with surroundings as beautiful as this...
A little over two years ago I started a facebook page called BEYOND THE GLASS whilst on holiday (or vacation if you prefer) I somewhat abandoned it after the holidays, but I would really LOVE to kick it off again... here!
- The concept was not complicated... and the page bio is:
The world as Seen beyond your beverage...any place, any time, any beverage...share your pics with the hashtag #beyondtheglass
The idea being, not only to share your beverage but to simultaneously share what you are experiencing in your current surrounds and "beyond the glass"
So, on that note - I would like to bring "Beyond the Glass" to my Steemit family :)
Share your pics independently or as a comment on another's "beyond the glass" post - but ALWAYS using the #beyondtheglass tag!
This is about FUN - engaging and sharing in the good times being had by all of us - from every corner of the globe! I have no doubt that we will see some VERY interesting shares as we go along...

guess i still do, dont drink much these days
Used to make it actually. 1000 gallons a year. Not grape wine though. Hand picked fruit wines. Deeelish.
Had one go to S. Africa somewhere actually.
The worst type of wine (in my opinion) that i ever made, Cantaloupe.
She loved it, so did one other person, most agreed with me that cantaloupes had no business being in a wine glass but that's what experimentation is all about :)
Sounds like you have had your fair share of experience in the "wine" and "not so much wine" department. lol! I think it would be impossible to live in Cape Town without being able to enjoy the wines here... but I wouldn't know anything about that because I am not trying... hahaha :)

No, not yet. I really do want to visit. I've traveled abroad some. Traveling is definitely my favorite thing ever so I'm sure I will get there! Especially once my steemit picks up :)
