4 Must Know Reasons Why All Newbies Should Comment and Learn Where To Comment On.

When you are first starting out, commenting on other people's posts can be a great way to get involved and connect with people!

If that sentence above is not familiar with you then,there is a problem somewhere!

That sentence above is clearly stated in the welcome page of Steemit.This page is the first page that appears just after your account has been approved.

I would advice you to read it again of you are a newbie.This days i force all new people i show Steemit to read it as they wait for their account approval!

I do this because i have realised most people are so excited that,immediately their accounts are approved,they hit the Post Button!

I have confirmed this as most of these guys call to ask me obvious questions that have been answered in the welcome page!

Why Do You Need to Comment A lot A Beginner?

Let me explain the reasons i keep telling all the new folks i personally bring to Steemit to concentrate on commenting a lot than posting.

1. As a newbie you are new and no one knows you!

Yes you read that right,we all start from zero when we are here on Steemit.

The main reason you and me are told to start by commenting on Steemit is because you will make friends and get known.

It is common sense to know that when we are starting out we have no followers and no friends on Steemit except the person who told you about Steemit(go thank him or her!)

I didnot have the previlge of meeting the person who showed me Steemit.I got to know about Steemit through a Facebook post!

This means i started out alone in the Steemit Community. I had to learn how to comment so that i can make friends(which i have).
I have made many friends in different countries so far on Steemit.

If you make enough friends on Steemit,it will be this folks who will be upvoting your posts.

In conclusion,it would be more wise to make many friends who will in turn upvote your posts.
So go out there and make friends by commenting on other people's posts.

2. Commenting Increases Your Reputation.

You might be wondering how this is possible,all people on Steemit start with Reputation 25.

Reputation is that number near your username!
Your Reputation grows when more people with a higher Steem Power upvote your posts or comments.If this is your first time on Steemit,let me explain what Steem Power is.

Steem Power is like the shares you own on Steemit! This shares or Steem Power influence your upvote weight.The higher Steem Power an individual has,the higher his upvote value is.

I just remebered that this explanation of Steem Power is all displayed in that welcome page i displayed above,go read it again!

As a beginner you should always strive hard to grow your Steem Power to at least 45 as most people here rarely read posts by people with a reputation less than 45(me inclusive)!

It is always advisable to comment on as many people's posts as their upvotes will raise your Steem Power and this will make you reputable in the community.

3. Commenting Resteems Your Blog.

If you are a new person,again this might confuse you...its okay to be confused at the start...dont allow to be confused forever though!!

As you start out,make few posts and comment alot.If yu have made your introduceyourself post,you can go on a massive commenting spree.
If you comment thoughtfully,people will be motivated to check out your blog and upvote your post!.

So when i say commenting resteems your blog,it means you are showing the Steemit community how great or bad your blog is...show them how great your blog is.

4. Commenting Earns You Money!!!

The number one motivator for most people on Steemit is earning money.The reason many people give up easily on Steemit is because they have not earned the money.

Let me tell you my story,my introduceyourself post made 0.57$, the second and third posts madea combined 0.00$....!!

I almost gave up until i began researching on how to grow as a newbie.It was through this research that i read a post that said i should concentrate more on commenting.

I earned so much money commenting that i forgot to post for almost 2 weeks! The commenting money was so sweet and i was having conversations on many people's posts!

I made and still make good money commenting.
I am not suprised that my next post after the two weeks of commenting,the post made a whooping 6.25$....i was excited.It means that almost all the new friends i made in the two weeks upvoted my new post.

So if you want to earn some Steemit money as a newbie,go start commenting now.

Where To Comment on Steemit..

It is fascinating for me to meet people i showed Steemit after like 2 days and i ask them if they are commenting and they gladly say yes.

I always ask them if the reputation has increased and the answer is always no!!!
The next thing i always do is to check their comments.

I am always not suprised to see their commnets being the generic "nice post,thank you ..great information ,upvoted and resteemed your post,i followe you,follow me"

I always dive into lecture mode of how those are not great comments and i tell them how to comment.
I was tired of telling people over and over again on how to comment,it was why i made a post a few days ago which i will be referring to all my new people.

I like the effcetiveness of Steemit,instead of teaching each and everyone how to comment...just write a post and keep referring them to that post!!!!!

So Where Am I Supposed to Comment.

As i said earlier, you need to comment on posts of people who have a high Steem Power so that may when they upvote your comments,your reputation can increase.

The best place to comment on is the trending and hot tab on Steemit. https://steemit.com/trending
The trending page is where all the big guys appear, ie ie the guys wit high Steem Power.Yhe posts on trending page have a high payout.

It is very competitive to comment on this trending as more people flock this space and your comment has a minute chance of being seen.

The posts that appear here are posts that have recieved many upvotes and anytime this posts will be on trending.

I have realised that almost all people on the hot page have a high Steem Power and when they upvote your comments,chances are high your reputation will increase.

The other best place is to comment on the different topics that you like.
I personally comment on posts on tag Africa,promo-steem,uganda,life and many others.

I have shown these new guys i bring to Steemit on posts to comment on and they have earned their first money on Steemit and they are happy.

If you do what i have stated in this post,you will have a great time on Steemit.

As i conclude,you should take commenting as your full time job as a new person on Steemit.
