Steemit worth the shot ?

More and more people are registered in steemit and our community is growing everyday, but is it worth a shot for newcomers? Or all money takes whales between them self?
In last year part of dolphins,orcas money share increased like double up and now we have this:
76% whales, 17% orcas, 5.5% dolphins, 0.8% minnows.
So whales have most revenue , but now orcas and dolphins take huge part of it too.
There is many people who evolved from minnow in year , and in future there will be more and more orcas and dolphins.
But to evolve you need to produce quality content,gain support from whales,orcas,dolphins ( you cant evolve without it ) or increase your wealth by investing.
So is it worth to start steem now as a minnow? What you think?
We won't be minnows forever, right? So I guess it's worth the shot no matter how long it takes us to get there. :)

STOPIt's always worth starting!
We shouldn't be so focused on making money while we are on Steemit.
The main concern should be to have fun, experiment, interact and to create good content. If the priorities are in order, then people might start making money :)
This may be true,however, no one (unless a relative) starts at the top in any profession,and as a brand new person myself,I guess I will have to write some interesting material. After all,we could be posting on Facebook for nothing.
