I Updated 'Steemit Tutorial' on My WordPress Blog. Please Visit & Give Feedback. Share to Promote Steemit!

It's good to be off Steemit for sometime. So, today I took time to login to my WordPress blog to update a post there. It seems like Steemit is permanent part of my life now because the only thing I update on my blog—other then WP version, theme, and plugins—is the Steemit tutorial. I posted it just three days after joining Steemit and it has since been the last post on my blog. I keep updating it to improve the quality

It's 9 PM here and the weekend is pretty much over. What I did this weekend were only three things; east, sleep, and Steemit (or update tutorial about it). The detail and accuracy required in educational posts means that I have to give a lot of time to each post. That is why I call it a big responsibility. The MinnowBooster tutorial and this WordPress post took more than sixteen hours combined. Other than creating and updating posts, I either slept or replied to hundreds of comments.

But when I see the feedback, the recognition, and the rewards, the time spent becomes a source of pride. The positive difference in lives, or at least Steemit life, of hundreds and thousands of people through my content becomes a source of inspiration for me. It all makes so much sense. Doing this is meaningful for me and I fucking love it!

What's common in all these posts?

So, I was talking about the Steemit tutorial that I have updated today. I wanted to update it because I have gained so much exposure and knowledge over time. I last updated in September 2017. Not that it was misleading or something but I wanted to improve the quality of content in there. Why? Mainly because it is the number one ranked Steemit tutorial in Google search.

Please search Steemit tutorial in Google and let me know what position my tutorial is.

Here are some improvements that I made in the blog post.

1. Changed the thumbnail image. Previous one was dull.

2. Updated the introduction paragraph to make facts accurate as per today's standings.

3. Added 2018 in the title because it makes things fresh. True too because I just updated it.

4. Updated the resources linked in the post to include my handpicked resources for newbies and detailed guides that I have been publishing.

5. Whatever I touch becomes lengthy. I wonder why. From 1700+ words, the length increased to 2250+ words. That's how thoroughly I have gone through this work.

6. Updated all images and instructions to make the post current.

7. Included some serious advice on what to do and what not to do on Steemit.

That's what I have done. What it really means that whenever people go to Google and search how to join Steemit or Steemit tutorial, they will find the updated and accurate information and guidance. And hey, I just finished updating the blog post again; this time updated to set all the links to open in new tab by default. Just tested them. All working fine.

If you have been following me, you know I have been permanently disabled on my old account by Facebook. I have Steemit and I am thankful for having it. But if I had my 8k following peronal page still, I would have used Facebook ads to promote this Steemit tutorial and get Facebook users to see what real social interaction means.

With this post, my weekend comes to an end. It was a tiresome and rewarding time at the same time. I would have wasted my time on some stupid thing but it was used to educate my community here.
