Red Rockets Refish Journey
I rarely do very personal postings, but I wanted to document this stage of growth to look back on later. I think it represents an important milestone as we all have grown so much in such a short time.
This time was heavily influenced by the experience of being chosen for the Red Fish Rockets
Also an appreciation post for all the help and encouragement we have received from @simplymike is in order.
She didn't just delegate and forget about us. We have had the opportunity to ask questions and receive advice and encouragement along the way, from someone who draws on the experience of her own growth process.
It all started with a challenge, as these things often do. Just another ordinary day on the platform bouncing around the pay it forward features. As always trying to stretch out votes to cover as many as possible.
Somehow I ended up reading about a possible delegation. It sounded pretty simple just score highest engagement league placement of all the entries.
I was not a bit surprised to see a group of my friends from @pifc entered to win. What was a surprise was the winners announcement. All four of the newly chosen redfish rockets were from the pifc community.
We knew each other before but our relationships have grown so much over the last eight weeks. As I look back over our delegation period I see lots of changes in all of our accounts.
As an added bonus our sponsor @simplymike became a dolphin.
Congrats to you all on your achievements. We have come so far together
And we formed our own little school of fish swimming around trying to keep up our engagement scores.
I propose that we keep the fellowship of the Red Rockets alive.
Our delegation period has ended but our journey is just beginning. @buckaroo, @cicisaja, @tryskele,I will keeping up with all of you and one day we will be the red rocket minnows.
I am sure none of us will be forgetting @simplymike anytime soon.
It has been such an eventful eight weeks I am wondering what the next eight weeks may bring.
Very well said :) It has made a difference in so many ways. I don't think we'll have any issues keeping up with each other. And thank you again @simplymike its hard to believe it's been 8 weeks already.
Well I am behind on paying visits but you guys are probably use to that already. But on the up side I guess you will understand when I have to comment more than I vote. I still may rent some steem power just so I can stay engaged more and not feel bad about that part of it.
I mean just in general, and there is still pifc to consider.

Well thank you very much! This really has been a memorable part of my Steemit experience. All the hours that went into engagement are pretty hard to forget though lol

Yikes that is scary!
I truly am having a blast with it. Our delegation time is over so we really just landed. I do kind of hope to keep up with the group and maybe do some sort of relaunch project down the road. I would love to reach minnow status along with the school of fish that have swam with me over time. 🐠🐬🐳

oh lucky you! I so wish I could buy a bit more. I was able to get 50.00 a while back. That was sooooo much easier than trying to get votes lol.
I am hoping between account building and buying some more this winter I can get there by springtime. So about 6 months more.
Good luck I will be rooting for you. I always remember you were one of my first regular voters way back when I was at 25 rep lol.
Ha ha yeah @headchange, Im sorry if Im a bit irregular voter/commenter (Im not on discord, so I don't use ginabot and god knows what new stuff people use for keeping up with everyone), so my voting/commenting pattern is a bit random...
Also, my vote is worth "nothing" right now so Im thinking of maybe just using my vote as a "like" button, instead of trying to "charge-up" and only vote for my 10 best homies every day... Since the vote is more or less worthless charged or not...
What do you think about this?

Well I am not keeping up with everyone real well myself. It tends to be mostly who ever lands in my comments and will keep typing lol
Sometimes I remember to go check on someone. Or see them in a comment thread somewhere.
I use dustsweeper so it collects any vote I get and fills it the rest of the way up.
I normally go find something that already has a couple pennies on it if I want to vote someone unless I know for sure they have a dustsweeper.
I honestly have sooo much trouble with steempower.
That is honestly why I am pushing so hard to grow.
It is super hard to engage for me without at least dropping a courtesy vote.
In other words I am clueless and no help lol
Sorry forgot to say don't forget that make a minnow project is going on for anyone who has 450🐠🐬🐳

Oh yeah I meant for future reference in case you get almost there they are looking for people to push over the top of that last little bit.
It was a great experience, @headchange and @tryskele and it was fun to get to know you better.
I must say, I feel a bit sorry that those 8 weeks are over. But I keep reminding myself I started the Redfish Rockets to help people to get out of the bandwidth error zone, and you managed to do exactly that.
Soon it will be time for a new group of Red Fish Rockets, but you and the other girls were a little school I won't easily forget :0)
Oh don't worry we are pretty stout little fish by now. I intend to try and keep us swimming together right into minnows.
There are projects here to help with that and we need to try to take advantage of those.
I don't see many projects for getting people past the bandwidth problem so you are filling a good niche.
I can't speak for the others but I just might be tagging along pestering you for a good while yet.
I like the way you run your account and that gives me something to look to as I develop my own way of Steeming.

simplymike is pretty amazing, and so very generous, but she really did pick, in my opinion, 4 very special peeps to delegate to! Who knows what the next 8 weeks will bring, but I'm sure it will be eventful too :)
Eventful for sure Steemit seems to have its own brand of time keeping. Eight weeks seems to go so fast but so much can fit into it it seems like forever at the same time.

the redfish rockets are a school of tiny little fish who are set to make a very big splash. It is rocket power🐠 🐡 🐡 to get us from redfish to minnow then dolphin and maybe even whale. 🐬🐳 We are some very motivated little rockets.

yes I remember that contest! oh that's very cool then. Well you've done well with contests so you haven't had to bust it posting everyday, that gets to be a grind unless you have tons of great photos that you can throw up there.
Well we can't all be super popular like you. My posts don't make much. Would take years to grow an account that way.
I must say the posts have been doing a bit better lately. Makes me more motivated to do 2 to 3 a week.
Right now I am learning monster cards. I am up to 14 cards now and have enough steem to buy a starter pack.
headchange! no it wouldn't take that long to build your account that way..it would just take more time each day and if you didn't have the time then yes it would take awhile but not that long.
I see people that don't do much at all and they are steadily growing, it's pretty surprising. then others just are stale- mated almost. it don't take much to grow though.
Yeah Dave Mccoy asked me if I was interested in them. I have no idea how they work and don't want to take the time at the moment to learn really. Not until I get to 500sp.

Yeah Dave is really promoting the cards hard Thinks it will draw some new users into steem even if they only play the games.
Anyway he has another of his mysterious projects in the works. So I guess I will be reading up on the rules for the game.
