Beware of a Phishing account pretending to be @ned - Dont click on malicious links!

Hi Steemians

Today I discovered Phishing links related to this account. The owner pretends to be @ned and has his photo on his profile. So beware! Thats not @ned It is a trap and dont open any link you see in the comment sections.

There’s a good reason that such scams will continue, though: They are successful in what they are doing and many Steemians are falling for these Phishing scams every hour. New phishing scams are being developed all the time, what makes it more complicated here. Clicking on links with promising offers, are not such a smart move.

By finding out about them as early as possible, you will be at much lower risk of getting snared by one. You should never share personal information anywhere and keep your Master Key safe. Dont write your password by mistake in the memo and in case you did that, change it immediately.

You need to be careful which browsers you utilize. Read all URLs from right to left. People who serve the community wouldn't spam this way and instead write a post explaining everything it it. So recognize phishing attacks to avoid clicking on malicious links. Educated yourself about the topic, detect, report and defend against phishing attacks. Share this information with other Steemians and warn them.

Report anything related to Phishing to the @steemcleaners Discord Channel:

I hope this can be helpful and be safe :)

Thank you @hanen for that info we really do need to be careful to much easy money out there to be gained by these low life scamming scumbags.

Hopefully everything will change soon!

Let's hope so my friend :))

Hey @hanen no browser can help you for cheking the certificate of the sites or links maybe if it is a blockchain base one like Brave. I advise you to use MetaCert it's a plugun made for cryptos which help you detect fishing sites and threads if it is green that means you re safe & if there is a problem or a thread it will notify you i always use it to make my cryptos browser based wallets secure
