Google Trends - Steemit popularity by country, search trend
Hello all,
Yesterday I looked up Bitcoin in Google Trends and brought up various data points. This morning was Steemit's turn...
Interest over time starting in January 2016. It appears that there is a slight decline in interest lately, but that should be short term as most things tend to go in cycles.
Interest by region over the last 12 months. China FTW... Venezuela in 2nd...interesting as they have been moving into BTC since late last year. They are probably researching more of the cryptocurrencies....?
This is the numbers/ranking criteria from Google
The top 5 regions was not too much, so I downloaded the CSV file and opened in Excel. Slightly surprised to see that the U.S. is 27th on the list. As stated yesterday, maybe 'some' americans are more interested in the kardashians or judge judy? I did notice that the top countries were different than the top 5 displayed with the world graph.
Not too much to see regarding the price of Steem... (Lately, it has been like watching paint dry) Since the selloff in late June/July, it has been in a trading range. The short term trend is back up as indicated by the green heikin ashi bars as well as with stochastics. My speculation is that it will eventually break out to the upside.
This is a chart of Steem in red and Bitcoin in blue and their price action since the start of this year. There is some correlation seen...
