SPIDER DREAMS: Chapter 7: Cobble Stone Ruins

12:15, confused in a blind disillusion, I find myself in a lounge, dark and damp, cocooned. Pretty aroma and soft candy smoke filters through the dim room. Long tubes of relief stretch from ornate glass containers to the mouths of fragile boneless addicts all too weak to stand up. The laying dead and dying beg for more. Their lungs full of purple heaven and my nostrils are that of a dragon demanding more.

People wearing glittering scales approach me and speak in numb muted words of distorted sense. I shake my hand gesturing for them to go way. This alien tongue does not suit me. I cannot listen to the nonsense of bald lizards. I pick up my hat and stagger for the door. Music in the room slows down and plays back into its own recording. Sound digesting sound. Then a voice pure and clean speaks to me. No one seems to notice. Tiny shattered words of wisdom, my little secret I will keep safe.

Outside, a cool breeze wisps through my hair refreshing me. I snap right back into place vertebra aligned and walking like a dusty skeleton.

“Good Morning.”

There was a river. I went to it and began to feel better. I must have fallen asleep.

I woke on the shore with a beautiful woman next to me. I have never seen her before. Gently speaking with a lovely hum she rubbed my temples. A lullaby of illusion cradled in a lover’s arms.

She stood up and I began to follow her as she motioned for me to do so. The exquisite swaying body of this woman divided before me becoming two voluptuous works of art. The two women held hands and bounced with a light walk away from the riverbank as I promptly pursued them.

They led me up to a great white house with stone pillars and archway. Sculptures of naked angels protruded from high above wearing the wings of demons. Inside the hallway glowed from candlelight and the beautiful women led me down a narrow spiral staircase into a small basement. I had to duck and crawl to fit in.

They pulled me to a back room opening a bright red and shining door. Lustful orange light illuminated from within and we sat on a soft red couch ornately decorated where I began to change. At first my hands and torso morphed, becoming more massive. Then my face became someone else’s. They knew it was me and took my new form with pleasure. The women whispered and giggled in my ear as I kissed them on their necks and collars. Smooth warm skin, the sweet navel of the female, bliss came over me.

Firm and dark distinct markings etched inside my mind like a fresh tattoo.

I woke up surrounded by a massive city of cobble- stone walls and stainless steel rooms. Streets are made to be traveled with giant skeletal structures overhead. The vivid lucidity of the dream became very apparent as my alert focus tuned in to the fine details all around. The heights above me, the content man in the window grinning, the towering man walking directly at me down the city street. He stopped before me standing twice my size and began to laugh a deep rumble. Buzzing streetlights blinked dizzily and the tall man continued to bellow louder and louder opening his wide massive jaw of square yellow teeth.

I don’t understand what is so funny.

Gesturing my arm for him to continue by and by on his way the colors of my flesh and form began melting into the canvas scenery. I was part of the painting blurring into the background. Robotic words emitted from my mouth. I did not recognize what I was saying. The giant man stopped laughing and swirled like cookie dough.

"HA!” I laughed too. “Mother fucker, you are in my dream.” I pointed at him.

Large colorful buildings blotted together clotting the arteries forming walls and doors. Veins in the hive I stepped inside the plaza gates. A short, round blond girl came up to me wanting the real quick and easy in and out right here in public so everyone can see. She needs to feel the burning of being human between her legs. She needs to be adored and wanted, loved and cherished, taken and abused. I became inanimate and controlled. Her eyes lit like fire and she laughed an eerie wicked cackle. Others began to join in filing up behind her. They were dolls, laughing plastic life-sized dolls strung by wires dangling from the towers. Wide blue eyes blinking long black lashes they proceeded to approach and corner me cupping their one exposed rubber breast. Wide-up knobs protruded from their backs.

Vomit rushed from my stomach and the bathroom was flooded from the overflowing toilets. Feces scattered about, floating in the mirror. I found a cellar door in the floor. I opened it and at the bottom a room lined with blue paintings comforted me.

The control of this lucid dream flees me. A delicate voice spoke and a face appeared from around a corner. A little nook lay ahead. Crouching down to enter the labyrinthine cave, sharp crystals grew from the walls and ceiling. Dangling diamond wishes. A snake sat up next to a cave man. Both looked at me and began to laugh. The room filled with smoke and bubbles. They were playing with the magic herb and I wanted some.

I asked where the bathrooms were and they began to laugh again, laughing and staring. Another face peeked around a corner and squealed. It looked like the twin. And I followed her into another room. Cradled in the arms of a naked mother, a fetus alien lizard covered in yellow mucus curled itself around her breast with giant wide eyes peering out. A little stub tail twitched back and forth between her fingers. The baby greckon had three fingers, scales, and a row of spikes down its back. I could see a beating heart and moving organs underneath its transparent oily skin. It sucked the mother’s breast innocently. She smiled.

The white room remained momentarily sterile and quiet except her eerie soft lullaby.

“Hush little baby don’t say a word.” She rocked back and forth under the fluorescent lights petting her infant. “Mother is going to buy you a broken bird.” She kissed it on the forehead.

“And if that broken bird don’t fly, mother is going to make you scream and cry.”

“…Hush little baby don’t say a word…mother is here to make it all absurd.”

Behind her lurked three thin, gray visible figures and hunched over on the table next to me was a tiny green lizard.

“What the fuck is this?”

“What the fuck is this?” I shouted feeling more scared then I ever have in my life. I continued to shout, repeating the same question as if it were making the situation better. I slowly approached the nasty thing sitting on the table and it began to wiggle. Then it jumped up and began to run around the room screaming in a tormenting high pitched shrill like a howling teapot. Chills paralyzed my spine and I kicked it with my heel, crushing its skull and repetitively stomping on its jelly-filled body.

Liquid guts, a bug on the windshield, yellow goo on my shoe.

I am lost and hiding unaware when I am truly awake.

Really great writing! "Mother is here to make it all absurd" indeed. I'd like to give the mother and alien fetus a go - as illustration I mean.

That'd be awesome. I'm all about it, and very interested in the result. Thanks!

OK, I have to do it now. It is written. I'll let you know when it is ready!

So awesome! That's the cutest little alien baby I've ever seen. Makes me want to pet its slimy transparent membrane skin. Great work. If you don't mind, I'll edit this post and include the image with the text.

You are more than welcome. I have publish it as creative commons and will put it on my Diaspora profile in high resolution when I get the time, so it is already free to use as long as I am mentioned and you provide a link to my profile or Diaspora page.

Super cool.
