Script to automate the publishing of your post links to the Post Promotion channel on steem.chat

Hey Guys,
As you may have noticed from my previous posts I hate repetitive tasks so I tend to automate things.

I was using the #postpromotion channel on https://steem.chat and every few hours I was publishing one of my posts there to get them the initial kick off.

It was getting boring to do so I decided to automate the task.. :)

And here it is. I decided to share it in case someone else wants it:

HOW TO USE IT:

Simply..

• Visit https://steem.chat/channel/postpromotion

• Open the browser web console (F12)

• Paste the javascript script in the console and press enter

• Execute the following command:

startWithLink( 
  // 👇 Put your Steemit Link here below <- (you can leave these, they're just comments) 
  'https://steemit.com/THIS_IS_YOUR_POST_LINK', 
  // 👇 Initial delay in minutes here or leave 0 
   0, 
   // 👇 Your post introduction. Leave blank otherwise 
   'Hey guys, check out my post! 😎' 
); 


This script automatically promotes your link every 2hs or so.

In case you want to change the random amount of time that is added to the 2hs wait (by default between 0 and 20 mins) you can do so changing the value of the variable called MAX_RANDOM_DELAY_MINS that you can find on top of the page.

If you do not provide an intro as third argument to the command above none will be added.
If you want a default intro instead just change the variable called "intro" on top of the page.

Clearly this script works only until the user interface on https://steem.chat is changed. At that point the script would require a quick update.

Disclaimer: the script is ABSOLUTELY SAFE. If you have a basic knowledge of JS you can verify it yourself, it's quite a short script.
Steem.chat is not Steemit so there is no risk of compromising your private keys or your Steemit account.
