5 Places That You Can Earn Steem & SBD - Seriously You Should Check These Out!!

I have been on Steemit coming on 4 weeks now.

It truly has been a huge learning curve and I have met some awesome people on the platform.

After my first week on Steemit, I heard about Dtube and this led me to look for other ways you can earn Steem and Steem based dollars.

What I have found is incredible!!

Below are several different platforms which reward you with Steem & SBD.

Also, you do not need to sign up with them if you have a Steemit account, you just log in using the same details.

App	Description
Dtube	Dtube is a website that stores movies based on STEEM and IPFS.
Dlive	DLive is the first decentralized video live streaming platform based on Steem!
Dsound	Dsound is a decentralized sound publishing and monetization platform based on Steem blockchain and IPFS.
Dmania	Dmania lets you post memes, funny pictures & also gifs.
Steepshot	Steepshot rewards people for sharing their lifestyle and visual experience.

So let's have a look at each platform and see how to use them:

First up we have DTube

As you can see from the image above Dtube is Steems version of Youtube.

You upload videos as you would on youtube, and once you have uploaded the video then you go ahead and give it a headline and also description.

You can then also add 5 tags however, Dtube knocks off the first one and replaces it with Dtube so only use 4 tags.

Once you publish on Dtube it then appears on Steemit also.

Once your post is on steemit you can then edit the description, tags and also add or include additional links if you want.

Also, any comments made on Steemit appear on DTube and vice versa.

The above was my first video and I couldn't believe it when @Dtube upvoted my video!!

What does this mean?

Well, it meant an upvote to the tune of (Drum Roll).............

Nearly $40!!!!

Honestly, when I woke up in the morning and grabbed my phone to check my account (Don't we all?) I fell out the bed!!

I thought it was a glitch of some kind so I stumbled down to my laptop to check what was going on.

To my surprise, I found that @Dtube regularly upvotes videos of users on the Dtube platform.

Moving On.

Next, we have DLive.

DLive is the first decentralized video live streaming platform on Steem!

DLive is similar to DTube, however, this platform allows you to live stream video directly to the steem network.

I have not tried DLive myself yet as I only found it 2 days ago, but looking at the content on here it looks very much like a gamers paradise.

When you click on any of the videos you are taken into the live stream which looks like this.....

It is also worth noting that DLive still supports video uploads.

So your video doesn't necessarily need to be live streamed. (However this is the whole point)

Next, we have DSound

Lots of Ds isn't there!

Anyway, DSound what is it?

Dsound is an application that allows you to upload, download, and listen to music.

It also allows you to earn rewards in the same way you earn on Steemit.

Similar to Steemit it also has Trending, Hot, and New.

When you click on any of the images it then takes you to the post/article where you can listen to music or download it.

There are also people uploading themselves sharing poetry, thoughts and much more.

Last of the Ds is DMania.

Users can earn rewards by posting, commenting and upvoting their favorite memes, funny pictures, and videos.

I think this could be popular for a few reasons:

1 - Many people are not interested in writing a blog post because of the work that it involves.
2 - Posting on DMania is very easy and all you need is a picture and a title.
3 - It is a lot quicker to upload a meme than write a blog post.
4 - The thought of recording a video to put on DTube sounds very scary to some.

These are just some of the reasons I think DMania will attract new users on the app.

Finally we have Steepshot.

I stumbled upon this after seeing a great picture by @surfermarly (Thank You)

Steepshot is basically like Instagram but with a Steem twist.

Here are some of the FAQ from the site.....

It works like Steemit, you upload content - Pictures/videos and you earn rewards when people upvote it, like all the above apps when you post on here it also goes onto your Steemit profile.

And that concludes the 5 apps which you can also earn Steem and SBD.

HOWEVER

It is worth noting that using some of these services you will be charged a fee which will be deducted from your author rewards.

I know, and here is how and why:

How.............

When Hard Fork 18 (v0.18.0) happened along came - Introduction of author reward splitting. "Comment Reward Beneficiaries".

With the new feature, you can share your rewards from posts and also comments.

Why do these apps take a cut of my rewards?.........

When you join Dtube or any of the above platforms mentioned it is expected that YOU fully understand how it works and how the developers reward themselves for you using the platform/app.

Let me give you the numbers and how much of your author rewards you will be charged.

DTube - 25%
DSound - 25%
DMania - 25%
DLive - 0%
Steepshot - 15%

In the end, these apps are created, maintained and updated, plus they need developers, code writers, designers and many more people to bring these projects to life for you and me to use.

So whilst you are charged a % of your author rewards you are also putting out content on new platforms so you have more chance to be seen and up voted / get more followers.

Some people only use Dtube so posting on there gives you more exposure.

And the same goes for the other platforms.

It is just worth noting the % you will be paying from your author rewards as not all of these platforms tell you this when you join or post.
