What brought you to steemit? What keeps you here? How do you see yourself in the future?

in #steemit5 years ago

Hello dear readers!

Days ago I received the invitation of my great friend @crypto.piotr to visit some accounts and read some articles that he found interesting, one of the accounts is that of the friend @robertoueti, who wrote a good article about four rules of the economy: My four basic rules for investments .

After reading the article, leave a comment and read the answer to my comment, when I am ready to respond again something went on in my head, which brought the following question If in my country there was no crisis I would be here? Would you be answering this comment?

Unexpected events

An unexpected event is something that surprises you, an event that you do not expect and comes to your life changing everything around you, it takes you out of the way and abruptly makes you change the plans and projects you had for the future, modifies your environment by obligating you to reinvent yourself to change your habits so you do not die trying.

The comment of my friend @robertoueti led me to reconsider the reason for my arrival on the platform.

In 2017 my brother heard about steemit, he liked the idea, he created great expectations with the platform and he brought me the data.

The news comes at a very difficult time in my life, we just moved out I lost my job and my recently graduated wife was just starting to work as a kindergarten teacher, this situation coupled with the growing crisis at that time led me to try find in steemit an exit to my depressed economic situation.

Today I understand that what brought me to discover this great passion for writing, cryptography and this wonderful platform was the crisis situation that we live in our country, maybe if I had been busy in some work generating good income I would not have thought about investing so long is this platform, today I can say that thanks to an unexpected event, a crisis situation I discovered a great passion.

What keeps me here?

Many times during this time I thought about giving up the platform, the scarce reward, not being committed to any community, not establishing any relationship of companionship, mutual support, feeling isolated and frustrated were some of the reasons that made me think that there was no point in moving forward.

Then things started to change I joined a community, relations appeared, I met @crypto.piotr and with it came #PROJECTHOPE, @juanmolina, @lanzjoseg, @jadams2k18, @achim03 and @help.venezuela. All this made me reconsider my departure and gave me new motivations, the necessary support to grow, there are many things that keep me motivated on the platform at this time when many have stopped publishing for different reasons, today I can assure with certainty that steemit I change my life totally.

How I see myself in future?

I believe that the future of cryptography is very promising and I have high hopes for this, I will continue writing on this platform, I believe that my account will grow and I will have the opportunity to invest in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, which will undoubtedly improve my economy, I will reach to be an expert in encryption, I will start some projects, I will create new relationships of friendship, camaraderie and mutual support, I see myself as successful.

I also think that my country will improve its economy, but even so, I will not abandon my passion for writing, steemit and cryptography.

I would like to call your attention to this issue, what would you think and give you an answer to these questions:

What brought you to steemit? What keeps you here? How do you see yourself in the future?

@fucho80, After leaving my well settled IT job I've entered into the world of YouTube but i haven't received any success there but haven't stopped their and searched for more opportunities and in the process of searching i got to know about this platform in the month of October 2017.

This path was and is really tough but i am going through from it and not only that, i am a ** Full Time Steemain**, that can be seen as Unrealistic at this moment but i am continuing with my journey and hope that my Intuitive decision is right. Stay blessed.

Good To hear ! :) Also tech oriented person . I came to steem because I was looking for new opportunities in the crypto space . I enjoyed what I saw and tried to be a blogger .... ehm ... cough...cough ... did not go so well but I understood that I am not a blogger but a commentator and would be better for me to do that so I just kept going here again and again . Been buying some steem and enjoying the fact that my vote can make someones day even if it's a small vote :)

My dear friend @jankos55, steemit is a wonderful platform, all of us who have come here for any reason, we immediately realize that, and no matter how difficult it is to move forward we keep trying.

It is also good to recognize the fact that as curators or creators it is always a good option.

I advise you not to give up, keep trying to improve each day so you can grow, join a community where they can support you, visit @crypto.piotr you can advise, is a great guy.

Great to hear your thoughts and in my opinion Steem shined up lights in many lives in the Third World Countries. Hope that this space will grow effectively and will impact more lives with the passing time. Stay blessed.

Dear @chireerocks

Would you mind sharing with me your story and experience with youtube? You tried to create your own content and monetize it?

Yours
Piotr

With dedication I've spent one year on YouTube but haven't achieved much success there, and it's not a surprise because YouTube is not we think. Currently we are watching the suppression of voice too. In my case people started to say that change my content and gave advice to upload funny content, but when my Content is about quote then why i will start uploading funny content.

But i am happy that I've found Steem Blockchain where i am sole controller. Stay blessed.

Hello there, my dear @fucho80

As a large majority we all came here for the money and it was noticed when the Steemit fell heavily and many people decided to leave the platform.

Obviously, it is still profitable for us Venezuelans and thanks to God there are many people who still publish in Steemit.

The help of @crypto.piotr has been a blessing.

Best of all, I've found good friends, learned a lot and got to know many cultures and opinions. I have realized that we are all human and we live with problems, wherever you live.

The future? I have no idea... Keep working? hehehe

Thanks for sharing

Hi friend @jadams2k18, thanks for coming.

The help of @ crypto.piotr has been a blessing.

According to you, friend, at a very difficult moment, a light at the end of the tunnel.

Best of all, I've found good friends, learned a lot and got to know many cultures and opinions.

Woo friend a really enriching experience, beyond the monetary, relationships and learning is the greatest legacy that this chain of blocks will leave us. I love steemit!

The future? I have no idea ... Keep working? hehehe

Of the future we probably do not know anything but I like to dream that I will go very well and I am optimistic with this hahaha

You are right. With the help of God, our future is going to be great

I came here to make money. To be a crypto guy taking about projects I liked. Then I found out that wasn’t my niche instead I started talking to people and just posting about life and then I got into steemmonsters aka splinterlands. That then got me into the @contestkings now I am here to giveaways lot is stuff to people that need it more than me but because I also make a little money from it. I also am trying to bring more people in so they can support this. Because of what I can see it doesn’t around the world. I live in USA so easy for me to live so hard for others. Hope this is a place they can stand out

Hello friend @stever82, it is a great journey that you have on the platform, I am writing since I arrived in February 2018. This week I just received the support of my friend @achim03 to start an account in steem monster and I am trying to see how I go, but I usually write topics related to cryptography, psychology among others.

For me this is a great adventure and I really like what happened to me on this platform.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Hi @fucho80,

I heard about Steem early but I ignored it because I was not a fan of social networks.
Later, I was looking for documentation on smart contracts and altcoins. The articles were rare and almost all were on Steemit.

I opened an account during the summer of 2017. I bought steems and powered up recently.

I wish you the best.

Hello my dear @droida, thank you for sharing your experience with us.

I heard about Steem early but I ignored it because I was not a fan of social networks.
Later, I was looking for documentation on smart contracts and altcoins. The articles were rare and almost all were on Steemit.

Although the causes that brought us to steemit are diverse, we are here striving to move forward, and some of us learned to love this platform and discovered a passion for writing.

Keep going, have success.

Dear @fucho80

Such an interesting choice of topic my dear friend.

Thanks for sharing your story with us. I'm honoured to be part of your journey.

today I can say that thanks to an unexpected event, a crisis situation I discovered a great passion.

It surely does help to survive and stay mentaly sane to still have some passion during difficult times you're living in.

I will have the opportunity to invest in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, which will undoubtedly improve my economy

Think about investing in your knowledge and follower base. This will allow you to build valuable contacts and one day you may secure yourself some real job. But knowing right people and knowledge is first step.

God bless Venezuela.

Piotr

Friend, thanks for the advice, I must tell you that I am working on that and it is something more than I should thank you for.

God bless you!

Initially I came to steem because it was the only cryptocurrency that I new of that you can earn and I loved that and I stay here for the same reason really now that I have a bit better reputation and authors I follow but I am uncertain about the future of it especially Facebook's Libra what do you think?

Three Dutch bloggers asked me to join. I did and one of them, my writing mate, left long ago.

At a certain point I left too. I found it boring and hard to understand.
The only reason I gave it a chance is because of my slow connection and I am hardly able to login at the site I was used to blog.

I am over 1 year here now and was not even able to buy a bread from what I earned so the reason I am here is because I found/met great writers and people and I am addicted to reading and writing.
