Will Steemit Survive?
Man I have really been gone (emotionally) for a long time, so much so that I didn't realize steemit was going through such serious problems.
Just read a post that says 70% of staff have been laid of. I don't think steem will die even if steemit does, but it will really suck as this is the ONLY platform I use.
What do you think guys, will steemit survive? How can it go about surviving? Any ideas??

I hope steemic will still be here too. It will be really sad if it's not here.. Well, there are still many users to support the platform and many supporters.
It's simply time for this open source project to leave the nest, in my opinion. It's my feeling that this could be a good thing and had been on my mind as being meeded since my early days of posting.

Steemit is experiencing interesting times.
If you check out the stats by arcange; you will see that they are having a bear of a time retaining users. They appear to be under 50,000 active users a day. I wonder how many of the active users are bots?
The loss of users is having a cascading effect with the average payout per post plunging.
A few of the witnesses are worried about paying their hosting fees. This is shaping up as a make it or break it season for SteemIt.
I guess the whales should be happy. As the minnows, redfish and plankton flee the platform, the whales are getting a bigger piece of the rewards pool.
SteemIt is experience interesting times. Interesting times can make platforms better; So, I am sticking it out.
