I was ready to argue that this will be good not bad but you're right. What we're doing right now is creating a gilded age of Steem where a few huge users control all the power, with the majority being given the illusion of power but not actually having it should they go against a huge user. It's a hard problem to solve.
I read it yesterday, thanks for the comment.... lets's hope it is not that bad... why they cant let it like it is? HF 18 for me so far worked good! And like you said in your post: Change ONE Component at a time..... thanks @aggroed, like your post.
HF 18 only sorta works because all the whales backed out of voting, which isn't quite fair to them either. So, behind teh programming aspect is an extremely important voting culture thing that has to be unwound too.
Steem is winding up for a major run; user engagement and new account creation are going exponential. I just wish the Dev team would roll out some Reddit-like organization, some Facebook-like social media and some Youtube-like video sharing.
Hey @johnsmith , looking good, new accounts are skyrocketing, hope they develop some features you mentioned... We are still in Beta, the website needs as well an overhaul to look more attractive,but I guess this is all on its way....

Thanks for the update best of the three I have read on HF 19. @elyaque I went to convert some etherium to steem and the built in drop down has gone and now it appears we are taken to an external link for block trades. Any idea what the reason is not comfortable with this change. Can you give any advice on this ?
That is even new to me, let me check.... you are right the Buy Steem button is not here anymore.... I always liked it that way.... strange, so why they did it? It was perfect for the newbies.... Guess I will do some research ..... thanks for the info!
