There's Something Really Weird Going On With STEEM Price On Binance

As you can see from the 1h screenshot above, STEEM price made some strange moves during the last couple of hours.

First, it broke the upward resistance of 11k satoshis, going as high as 11,050, then it went all the way down to 10,250 and then up again to 11,700 in only one hour!

At the moment of writing is trading around 10.5k satoshis, but the volume on the 4h chart is unusually high (around $1 mil), which makes me believe there is some serious trading going on.

It might be the return of the weekend pumps?

@dragosroua I noticed that @hilarski did a Post Talking about his Feelings from Steemfest3. He seems to feel that Steemit might not make it going forward. My Question to you is do you have any Loss in Confidence about the Future of Steemit and do you think we are dying a slow death ??

@hilarski post link

Nope, I don't share @hilarski's views. The mere fact that more and more apps are coming to the blockchain is a sign of maturity. And also, there was always this bitching attitude in this place, a thing that I didn't resonate with at all, since the very beginning. If some of these people are leaving (I'm not saying @hilarski is one of these guys) well, I think this would be a much lighter place.

With that being said, I still think there's still a lot to be done on the Steem ecosystem.

Amen, to most of that .

I completely agree with u. I found your posts always positive. Keep it up pls.

I had seen the weird trend on Coinmarketcap, but didn't know what could have caused it or what could be going on. I came to SteemIt about an hour ago to try to find some info, but it seemed like no one had noticed it. Apparently I was too impatient :0)

I still don't know what is going on, but at least I know I wasn't wrong when I thought it was weird.

So is it a good news or bad news for all of us?

have no idea, yet

Pump and dump is not the correct answer
The real and correct answer to your question is as per the following. ..
It is a reaction to a market pattern caused by the counter desk of the forex brokers who are now entering the game of bitcoin using MT4 and MT5 platforms but not the regular altcoin exchangers as the first one is using high leverage up to 1000 plus the spread but the second one is only using the spread...

So what happened is that one dirty forex broker at which i do.not know its name fucked his clients by tjis dirty counter desk dealing...

It is called also stoploss hunting... check the long candles shadows the body is tooooooooooooo much smaller than the shadiw.... this is called stoploss hunting by a broker.

Note... this Rc is killing me slowly

I continue to see many users here putting more money and buying Steem so it could be a true demand of the token here in the short-term! I know I bought some!

That would be cool, but the latest spike had a volume of about 4 million STEEM in Binance alone... Hard to believe it was only because of regular users of the platform, looks more like a coordinated whale action... That could have, indeed, triggered some buying reaction from regular users, I don't reject this hypothesis, but the core of the action was from a bigger trader....

I have 5 hours to wait for a power down to pay my for my internet ( it gets cut off at sometime today)
Pump you bastards, pump!!!
lolol

I am reading many posts today of true-believers that are buying at the current low prices. Not traders but people committed to the Steem platform.
