STEEMIT NEEDS A NOTIFICATION SYSTEM! HOW TO CHECK USER'S REPLIES ON STEEMIT! PLUS CHECK YOUR FOLLOWER'S POSTS EVERYDAY!
Hello everyone! I am pretty sure we all love the steemit platform because you can literally meet new down to earth awesome people and earn money for what you love to write and post, but since this is called "Steemit BETA", I am starting to see why!
That's right.... notifications does not exist yet on Steemit and I had someone ask me yesterday where I will be able to see when someone replies to my comment because I cannot get notified via device or website notification. So as you can see, Steemit still has a lot of room to grow and it will only benefit Steemit greatly once they implement the notification system like Facebook, YouTube and Twitter does now.
So for the time being, if you are new to this or unaware on how to check for people reply, this is what I always do and its easy, the screenshot below says it all:
Its that simple and there you will see a list of everyone who commented you like this:
Also have you noticed that some of yous may have hundreds of followers and almost no views whenever you post something new? That's disheartening since no one gets notified when you post new things so here is to train you all on how you can do this manually daily until they implement the notification system on Steemit!
Because if you are following someone, you should at least make the effort to support the people who posted something interesting to you at least 5-10 times daily:
Having like 1000 followers is not that good if you are only having under 20 views unless you promote it like crazy, it should not be this way. If you noticed this happened to you, then support others and they may support you back.

You're absolutely right in my opinion. Notifications would have a huge impact on steemit's succes. If you ever need votes for anything like this towards the development team or a poll or something, just ask and you'll have mine. Even though I'm a low level user, I'd like to do what I can to move this forward.
Thanks for your help, I will need all the help I can get to get my content more out there. For now I am planning to opening a Discord Server soon dedicated to helping steemit users, especially the newbies to get their posts more exposed providing a notification every time a user posts content on their steemit. I would like to get as many followers as possible to my new Discord so whenever I post new content, they will know and check my blog. When they post a blog, same thing. :) I will be announcing it sometime during the next week^^
Ya fully agree! There are rooms of improvement, for now it's simple and straightforward but needed more advanced functions to cope with thousands of followers.

Ah this is very helpful it took me a bit to catch on that is how you see replies. Same thing with like you said new stuff from people you follow I have 0 clue when those I am following post something new I usually go into the feed option and I see new posts. You know what else steemit needs? the ability to send PM to people that would be great and handy especially for when wanna just chat with someone sorta like how youtube still has PM. Unless there already is such a thing here and I am overlooking it :P
You are correct, Steemit could use a few tweaks, but is is a truly amazon platform and I expect it to HUGE one day soon. Only a fraction of the people on social media know anything about steemit. Once they do expect a massive increase in steem and volume of post.

I hope they don't start inserting adds though, it would ruin steem's reputation.
I agree, for what it is right now, steemit is amazing! And Inserting adds? May I ask what you mean by that? Like adding friends or something else?
Ah I think may have meant ads like with youtube and such I think that is what he may have meant.

Thanks for pointing that out! I had the exact same thought the other day. I go every day to check my replies, but still, it would come in handy to have notifications. Btw, checked out your Blog & pretty interesting posts there, you have gained a follower! Oh and I do take the time to read the posts people I follow daily ;)
Great to know and thanks a lot for your support! :) If they also had a dedicated phone app for steemit, even better as well as bring new notifications if someone you are following posted new content like on Facebook.
Yeah, there seems to be an app called esteem but I installed it and it never worked...
