Yesterday, reading the steemit newsfeed we found and interesting article about how to Auto Syndicate Your Steem Articles by @earthnation and I find it very interesting, but I thought that it would be useful to include more examples about how to set up the tools needed to do what the post explained. Thus, this post strives to be a complement and a proof of concept about how to use zapier and streemian in order to post on your social networks your steemit articles automatically based on the original post by @earthnation .

What is RSS?

First I would like to start explaining what is RSS.
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and it is a text format to distribute information across the internet in a very efficient way technically speaking, so many application interfaces from a lot of web sites are able to retrieve information o export it using this format.

What is Streemian?

Now, maybe you already know about this tool, but briefly let's get into the generals in order to setup everything right.

Streemian is an steem and piston based application in order to do provide services which interact with the steem network. These services include:

• Curation Trails

• Notificators

• Scheduling of Post

• RSS

So it is advisable that you have an account in Streemian to enjoy all the benefits.

What is Zapier?

The sites describes itself very well...

Zapier is a tool that allows you to connect apps you use every day to automate tasks and save time. You can connect any of our 750+ integrated apps together to make your own automations. What's more it's quick and easy to set up - you don't need to be a developer, anyone can make a Zap!

Set up the automatization

1. Step 1
Create an streemian account and a zapier account.
2. Step 1
Go to RSS Zapier section

Scroll Down and select if you want to use twitter of Facebook to share your post and click use this zap.

3. Step 1
The next screens are about setting up the RSS connection which is the easiest thing.

Press continue after reading the information.

Press continue again.

And here you will enter the public RSS to retrieve the information.
In order to do so you will use this general link and replace the highlighted part with the name of your user or the user you want.

Press fetch and continue...

if everything goes well a successful test will appear.

Then we just have to give permission to this app to connect with the social media we want. For example in this case we use Facebook.

Also We can select to post the Steemit articles in one of our facebook pages...

We can do a test after the successful configuration.

At least if we see this screen it means everything was set up right.
