Crowdfunded Whale Bot Project Looking for Your Support
Introduction
I've got an idea about an experiment on Steemit that I want to try so bear with me and let me tell you what it is. An account on Steemit that will be crowdfunded by users who will power it up and in return the accumulated voting power of the account will be used to help all those that supported its growth. The account will be powered by a bot that will automatically vote for posts of people that supported it by donating to increase the bot's voting power. There is no limit on how much Steem, Steem Power, Steem Dollars or any other means you can use to donate in order to Power Up the account and get on the bot's author voting list.
Some people may say this is vote buying, but it is not, you should think more about it along the lines of an investment in a project that will help you and everyone else on Steemit. You are crowdfunding a whale (hopefully it can turn into a whale) that will in turn vote for the posts you make. All of the Power Ups the account receives are in the form of donation that do not guarantee you anything besides that you will be added to the bot's voting list of authors to support. However you staying on that list and getting your content voted back is not guaranteed, you still need to make good posts and contribute useful content on Steemit, remember the goal is to help both Steemit as a community and good authors. Abuse and Plagiarism will not be tolerated in any way!
Enter @crowdfundedwhale, your new friendly bot that needs your help to grow and in return it will help you grow too on Steemit. The account is already available and ready to start accepting donations for Powering Up and building its list of authors to follow. The code for the bot is based on what I've been developing around my other pet project - @robotev, a voting bot that is intended to help new and not yet established authors of good content on Steemit.
Unlike with @robotev, here anyone willing to crowdfund and help the @crowdfundedwhale actually turn into a whale can participate and help the project. Voting for posts with information and reports of the operation of the @crowdfundedwhale will not account towards you getting included in the list of authors the bot will follow. All rewards from votes will however be used to further increase the voting power of the account, so you are welcome to support the project in this way as well.
How to Participate in the Project
You can get included in the list of authors if you:
Transfer any amount of STEEM, Steem Power or Steem Dollars to
crowdfundedwhaleSend any amount of Bitcoin (BTC) to the address:
1LCFwZTpTzHNfHSdsSfjptHUNee2JBFLcy
The BTC address above is from Blocktrades and will automatically convert anything received to it into Steem Power to the @crowdfundedwhale account, if you do sent Bitcoins this way make sure you drop a comment with the transaction ID, so that it is known who you are and you can be added in the list of authors.
Again, there is no minimum or maximum limits, any amount you donate for Powering Up the @crowdfundedwhale account will get you included in the list of authors. Remaining in the list of people the bot will follow and vote for however do require that you maintain a good quality of posts and avoid abuse or plagiarism as these will not be tolerated!
The bot running on the @crowdfundedwhale account will only vote for the posts made by people in its list of authors (authors will be added manually after a check), no other posts will be voted for. Voting is going to be done automatically by the bot but the votes it casts for posts will be monitored. The amount of voting power used by the bot may be adjusted in order to maximize efficiency and value for the authors that decide to support the project.
The goal of this experimental project is and will always be to support all good authors on Steemit on the long term. Making a mistake and getting delisted after you get in the project does not mean that you will be banned forever, you can still get back in and get another chance at making things right this time.
So let us see if we can make this experiment success and make @crowdfundedwhale what it name suggests... :)

There will be reports on posts voted by the bot in a couple of days probably, there are still not that many people and posts to vote yet...
This is really cool, I have been having similar ideas myself, and they will be coming up in the future.
