Steemit Sports Betting Curation May
When I first started this Monthly Curation List in February, the intention was to bring some initial sparks to create some kind of Sports Bettors group feeling here on Steemit and I wrote this:
Right now this is more something of an experiment similar to how I tried making an #upvotemybets tag a couple months ago which quickly ended up not working out. There is no guarantee this curation list idea will last or it may evolve in some kind of Steemit Sports Betting Group that gives each other support over time.
I intend to continue my Monthly Curation List to highlight and support some of the newer accounts that are Sports Betting focussed here on Steemit. Since I have limited resources while the list keeps growing, I will look a lot more at Community Engagement and overall Post Quality. (layout | record keeping | ...). I haven't payed too much attention to scout for newly created sports betting related accounts last month which will be something on my to do list for the next 30 days...

@stimp1024 is one of the good guys on Steemit ;-) He is one of the founders of the Steemit Betting Community and has been using his stake and influence on Steemit to really make a huge difference in the project. He is a Sports Betting enthusiast and is hosting multiple Daily Giveaway Contests on his Steemit Blog.
@numpypython has been on Steemit since April 2017 but only really started to publish great daily sports betting related content since the birth of the SBC and has also been giving a lot of Support to the community. Check his

I'm adding 25SP to the 100SP I already leased out to the bot which is by far the most effective way to support the entire community

The main idea of giving out the initial 75SP lease was to make him able to enter the EPL Betting Contest and help him grow a bit faster since upvotes that are worth more tend to get bigger upvotes in return. His account has grown to a point where this bit of delegation no longer makes a difference and can be used more effective by the community bot.

So awesome that we got someone like you helping the community. It's never easy starting something new but I think with your SP delegations and upvotes it has really made an impact. Now I feel like we're in full swing. Especially seeing how the the WC contest is going so far.

Thanks, we really have got something going here. Right now it's still a big learning experience and it's not always easy to draw clear lines. I'm looking forward to the time when signups dont' require 2+ weeks to get confirmed so we can start bringing some outside sports bettors to Steemit
Yeah that part is a little tricky. Do you think the masses of sports bettors are/would be interested in a platform like Steemit!? I mean I could see people wanting to join discord chats etc.. but hopefully with everything going on it'll attract them.
I really do believe this platform can be highly attractive maybe not for the masses but for most of the sports bettors that are allready posting things online (and there are a lot of those). The fact alone that they try to make money with something while steemit offers a way to earn something that is more guaranteed should be really appealing. There are also many guys like myself that are able to live from sports betting, but always have some dark clouds of potential downswing above their head. Steemit can be a great extra source of income for them in combination with betting.
A lot will depend on how this platform evolves, right now the gap in rewards between posting empty content and abusing the system vs actually putting some time and effort into it way too smal which is quite sad.
Yeah thats true. I mean I got started with contest too. So if they're good bettors and can essentially play for (free steem) in contest that's an incentive in itself. Then join communities like SBC along the way it'd be perfect for them!
Yeah thats crazy I'm still trying to learn from all your blogs and info you give on discord to try and actually make a passive income from it, and play with an edge.
Yeah I agree..its sad but we have such little impact on that. Unless one becomes a witness and invests lots of money and has more of an impact/say.
