Steemit Conspiratorial Discussion Panel: Another incentivized contributory based exercise and experiment.

in #steemit8 years ago

This is a new idea for an incentivized program that invites people to discuss their opinions on controversial or conspiratorial topics - and get paid in Steem!

@colouredcontent aims to get people thinking in a critical way and developing new perspectives without attachment.

We can look at a thing and contemplate its authenticity while not automatically declaring a certain belief to be true or false!

This is looking at the world in a truly philosophical way....it's having a Socrates mindset!

(img is obviously from AZ quotes...)

Participants of this "conspiracy" discussion group will be paid for each comment in steem.

If a post earns a payout of 15 steem, for example, it will be divided towards the amount of comments. If a person comments more than once, more reward will be given out.

I am doing this so that we can encourage discussion about things that are "taboo" , or controversial: things most people are afraid to talk about.

Things like Death, energy, the universe, extraterrestrials, the so called "illuminati" and much more tangible things as well as more far out things.

To give you a better picture of the type of things we will be discussing, take a look at my Mindful Mondays posts (a series I started and subsequently gave up on.)

Topics that I have mentioned in that series include asking the question, "was hitler a hero?" , and diving into the evidence.

I asked things like, "is death real" , and " Does reliance on toxic food make us food-slaves"?

You can see a full list of posts here

I am begining this discussion panel in part because I was inspired by @steemithealth and @writingamigo who have provided the steem community with ways of earning simply by upvoting and commenting.

My model is similar...but on the basis that more comments earn you more money because every comment is rewarded.

This panel will post 3 articles a month - starting in January - on the 13th, 23rd and 30th.

These articles will use rhetorical means of questioning the reality of a chosen conspiracy, anomaly, or complex situation full of scandal and controversy.

These articles will suggest and opinion and the rest will be up to you.

This initiative will evolve as time goes on and as such I will be editing the "rules" of this incentivized group in this post, which I will refer to as the Initial post

SO ...

WHO'S IN ???

Sort:

This post has been ranked within the top 50 most undervalued posts in the second half of Dec 23. We estimate that this post is undervalued by $5.29 as compared to a scenario in which every voter had an equal say.

See the full rankings and details in The Daily Tribune: Dec 23 - Part II. You can also read about some of our methodology, data analysis and technical details in our initial post.

If you are the author and would prefer not to receive these comments, simply reply "Stop" to this comment.

Fascinating ... I have just read your Hitler post; a few things which people tend to find intolerable to grasp: Hitler was, in a very large part, funded by the USA; he was not remotely vilified and was quite welcome in social settings in London, especially. Nazism is what we fought against and yet, due to lack of affirmative action, much of Europe is governed under Nazi policies.
The misreporting of the holocaust is shameful. Victors write history! The thing at the time was that Hitler needed a scapegoat and termed 'The Great Lie' the German people believed the theories of Jewish malfeasance - and so it came about.
The Vatican was notably unscathed and the Israelis were very much supportive of Hitler in the thirties. There are many Jewish holocaust memorials. Little anti-German sentiment co-exists. Having known two survivors of the incarceration of Jews in Germany, the truth lies somewhere between the hype and the hype!

Exactly. The truth lies in between the two polarities. What did you think of the article and my opinion?

I hope that you will join in these discussions and perhaps even suggest a topic or write a post or two yourself!

@ebryans : in your opinion, what did Hitler stand for?

Would be more than happy to contribute as you see fit! I am hoping to start a competition or several - this is like a debating society in a way - so, lets keep in touch - Direct messaging on steemitchat?
Re your post, I think you were well balanced. I think younger people as so many here are, are sceptical of so much! Having met two survivors of Concentration camps and worked for them in Australia, I find the deny movement not just arrogant in their assuredness but wilfully ignorant which is a crime against self!

Perhaps.....but some of the evidence does check out. For example, have you read The Leuchter report?

Yes, though not in detail ... there are so many versions of Truth. Truth lies buried and is the privilege of those present at the time. The first casualty of war ...Unfortunately, we seem to be in perpetual war!
I watched with great interest how the four UN Peace Envoys returned to the US and gave a Press Conference at the UN. Their testimony is being trounced upon by reports from the White Helmets, a propaganda outfit.
King Harold was not shot in the eye at Hastings, Jesus's name was not Jesus and he was not a carpenter; were the jews subjected to appalling treatment in WWII, I think the denial would be tantamount to wilful ignorance.
Were 6 million Jews murdered in gas chambers, no. Nobody believes that. Were Jews murdered in gas chambers, yes. Was Auschwitz made to look worse than it was, yes. It is a construct of human behaviour to manipulate things to our ends, a bit like saying: "but he started it" to justify a school yard scrap resulting in a broken arm.
We have curious self-defence mechanisms, expressed as justification.

Exactly on point.

Though I think everyone (with the exception of generals and any other type of commander) were susceptible to appalling treatment

Btw fellow steemians, spread the hype!

It would be amazing if you guys could suggest topics to me @ steemitchat whenever you feel inspired and participate in the discussions!

I will play. Sounds like fun; )

Thnx mada....about that trump article....I wasn't saying he should have his twitter rights revoked! It was meant to be satire.

Any suggestions for topics?

No worries - everything about Trump on twitter is comedy gold.

Since digging into cover-ups/corruption is a big part of what I do for a living, my preference would be for topics that I do not already know too much about, but see as potential conspiracy-theory rabbit holes.

The fishy stuff in cancer research, the possibility that programs like MK-ULTRA continue on even now under the direction of private sector contractors, and the connections between paranormal or UFO experiences and organized abuse networks would all be topics I would participate in discussing.

I will probably not participate at all in discussing topics that I know to be products of government/industry psy-ops, or take any talk of 'zionist conspiracies' any more seriously than I'd take a bad joke made by an elderly relative with a bad case of age-appropriate racism.
