Wassup Steemers,

I have been using facebook since I was 15 and admittedly am still using it to this day, sadly. It's one of those things you get into because all your friends are there and you feel as though you miss out if you're the one not using it. Put simply there weren't many better alternatives. That was until I got snagged by this awesome blockchain, hook, line and sinker. I see so many positives on this platform and although still very much in its youth and finding its feet, it already provides solutions to the totalitarian, thieving and tyrannical social media platforms of the past. I'm looking at you Zuckerberg, you prick.
As you can quite clearly tell I despise Facebook, and have been looking for the first opportunity to jump ship.

What am I going to do about it?

As a consumer I'm going to do the only thing I know how. Make the switch away from facebook and show my support for steem as much as I can. But I don't just want to stop there, I want to educate as many people as physically possible. I want to influence members in my family, my friends and eventually others I don't even know yet within my town. I have the view that there aren't people who like cryptocurrencies and those that don't. Rather there are just people who have a passion for this technology and those that don't understand it yet. With the exception of course, those people who are financially incentivised for this technology to fail. But I don't give a flying fuck about those greedy individuals and I hope this technology leaves them scrambling in its wake. Because there are 4 billion people in this world that are un-banked and have no access to finance that see this technology as a life-line. So instead of lining the pockets of already wealthy bankers and CEO's with my fiat, I'd rather support an initiative that serves the people who need it most.

I have studied all aspects of distributed ledger technology over the past 18months. For some of you this isn't a long time and your right I still have a lot to learn. But let me tell you, I'm deep down the rabbit hole and the more I learn the more enthusiastic and bullish I become.
The people close to me see me as some kind of obsessed crypto guru, but I know that's not the case, however, I feel the need to share my passion for this space.
I can't be the only one to have this thought, 'If only others knew what I did about cryptocurrencies they would all be equally as bullish regardless of the current price'.

So today I made the first step to reach out to people and see who is interested to learn more about this space, and probably for some introduce them to this technology for the first time.

A few people close to me know my passion for cryptocurrencies. What most people don't know is my passion actually lies in the fundamental technology behind it that turns the gears. The implications of this so called, 'distributed ledger technology' goes far beyond commerce and will cause a revolution greater than one can fathom right now. Im going to leave you with a Henry Ford quote that is as relevant now as ever, "It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning."
