Are there more bots than actual Steemians?
Recently I have been getting a lot of love. I know I have been added to a couple of automatic upvote bots from steemians who have invested in STEEM, but prefer not to curate content. It’s appreciated as my posts have gone from 0.15 cents to now over $1.00.
I don’t try to take advantage of the “love” either as I always try to make all of my content original and from the heart. Granted there are writers on this platform that really know what they are doing. Everything is annotated, capitalized, spellchecked, grammar checked, and footnoted. I admit I am not so deligent.
But at what point do I really feel any message I give comes across? I could deal with 10 upvotes from some Steemians who put me on their automated upvote. After all I have put a lot of time and effort into this platform for a mere $1.00. However, it’s a little disheartening to see 36 upvotes with only 7 views?
I always don’t base my success on the dollar amount, but upon HUMAN engagement. Does that mean I want to go back to 0.15 cents? Of course not! What I do want is people to read what I write. I want people to feel with me, identify with me, and dare I say argue with me?
If you are real and reading this, let me know! Bots don’t give love (or hate) people do.

are those bots or people up upvote to earn curation rewards? you dont need to look at your view count to upvote unfortunately.
I may not read all your posts, but I am catching some of your recent ones. I get lots of bot votes too, but I don't mind. I was bothered to see 60 votes but only 10 views. For me, one is important. Even if I reach a single individual and influence them to make a difference in their life, then my time has been well used. I have faith that Creator will bring people together when they need it most. The support is welcomed as it then allows me to give back more and more each day. I've met some amazing people and I've been enriched by the experience and I'm sure they have as well. You are included in that list my friend. Peace to you.

Only 1 problem about Steemit. the vast majority of people here are here because of money. Not so many people signed up for reading. But in few years when steem value get stable I'm sure things are gonna change
Perhaps this is why ned is moving away from strictly this platform and SMT is maneuvering to more wide spread adoption on other platforms that won’t have such abuse.
Yeah, that is bad news for us on this platform. But as long as steem value is growing it's ok :P

Besides the joke, I completely agree with you. Although I am new in Steemit i have realized the excess quantity of bots that are aimed to mine and when I upvote, I want it to be a real person.
But this is the system i guess ( or am i wrong...time will tell ).

This was exactly the post I was looking for to make sure it was not only me. A few hours ago I made a post, and it got 38 upvotes and 18 views.
I did play around with a couple of bots last weekend, just to check out how bots work. I thought it would stop after 1 post, but the last three all got that many upvotes...
I don't even know where they're coming from or which bot it is.
If I knew, I'd make it stop, because I think having 38 votes (worth $1.74) is discouraging for real people that want to vote. I wouldn't upvote a post that already has 38 votes....
