It was a crowdsourced strategist strategy.
There are many users telling this all the time. And loudly at that.
But it looks like devs are not listening to the users. Sounds so familiar ...

But guys remember Steemit is only and interface. Busy.org is also there. The more we have competition in Steem Blockchain, the best the community will be serve. It was one of @Dan's vision while building blockchain solutions. It will be best if Steemit Inc could hire a web designer first before hiring a marketing person. Look at etherdesign, great company - http://etherdesign.io/ . Hire them to redesign Steemit.com and then do marketing stuff after. They will be redesign Bitshares.org website.
Lol, btw I think the point is marketing can take many forms and people know how best to do it for the communities they're familiar with. Not necessarily a bad idea, but let's see what comes in next week though..

I've just had a revelation: marketing is a sub-set of poetry and as such is covered by the Poetic Licence. It therefore does not need to make sense, be based on reality, or rhyme. What is important, as your document reveals, is that it is internally consistent and has short lines. And if you don't get it, you're a complete illiterate.
Oh now you tell me. I get it now, just like poetry, of course! :)
