Wee need this choice on Steemit

Point 1:
I want to ask people who are behind steemit to offer the choice that allow anyone wants to adjust the period of power down. For instance, I want to power down with only 20 payments, so my 100% STEEM POWER will be separated into 20 weeks.
But this will be based on some condition that you have to be more than 1000SP. It's time to be serious and put steem in real hands.

I also want to add this: Why steemit still giving 40SP for every new joiner?? this is madness
Everyday there more than 500joiners, Imagine that steemit stops giving SP for registration and use that amount to empower community. To curate content, and giving interest to real authors.
A lot of people just creating an account an leaving it with 40SP.
So please, next time I want to see 25 reputation and ZERO SP, after user post 4 topics the community is free to add 40SP to user's account.
Discuss this points and give your opinion. Then try to resteem if you can.

Whatever the power down is, I do not believe it should be something that can be adjusted, I cannot quantify why exactly, but it feels like it would mess up any algorithm in reasoning why they have it at a set rate in the first place. Would you be able to edit your post to maybe include the reasons why it is set the way it is right now and then explain why you would want it different?
Firstly, Thanks for replying and giving your attention.
Secondly, I have mentioned that steem must go to real hands, real people who believe in steem who can raise it again as it was first time or maybe more than that. So those weak people can't give any rate to steem that why they must leave through this method. Why they hold amounts without any development.
If you have taken a look on my wallet, you have earlier idea about me but let me tell you that if some changes would be made here I will be the first one investing in high amounts of steem.

The reason a new account gets some Steem Power is so they can vote. With zero SP they would not be able to vote for anyone.
you are right but he meant SPs should not be given to users at the registration processes, it should be handed down to them when they are around for a while and actually know what is SP and how they can use it(which actually makes sense). or at least there should be a rule or something that if you are inactive for a long time and you are at 40 SP , the SPs should be taken away.
I knew what he meant and agree it should be taken away if they stay inactive, but if they didn't get any at registration they wouldn't be able to vote. That's why they are given some at registration.
steemit is at the beginning anyway, maybe they do some cleaning on the future, who knows
New accounts have to earn 10x their creation fee before they can power down.
