My plan to bring in $500,000 to Millions in revenue for Steemit
How about we let anybody become a whale for $50 for 24 hours? If we had a system where anyone can become a virtual whale for 24 hours for $50 bucks this would help generate revenue and income for Steemit and create a frenzy for all minnows of Steemit to go Steemit crazy!!!
How it would work
So for $50 bucks you would have a virtual 50,000 Steem Power balance but you would still lose voting power based on the current algorithm. All that would really change is you have a virtual Steem Power of 50,000 for only 24 hours until it disappears and is removed, this Steem Power would not be able to be withdrawn it would be locked and then destroyed after 24 hours. But it would still give people more voting weight and more power for 24 hours.
This would be huge
If this turns into a success maybe this could be a huge revenue boost and bring more possibilities to the platform. This could help reduce inflation over the long term we could use the revenue to buy back Steem coin and pay for additional revenue streams.
It would also give minnows a voice, it would give minnows the chance that they might be big someday. It would make them fantasize more about Steemit and make everyone more loyal to the platform.
How it will make Steemit $500,000 or more
I estimate we could bring in revenue for Steemit of $500,000 or more right now but it could be potentially a lot more then that over the long run it could be over millions of dollars in revenue. If we get 10,000 uses to do it just this month this would bring in $500,000 in revenue. This is what we need to do for Steemit create new revenue streams.
Win Win for everyone
This would be a win win situation for the entire community. It would give minnows the chance to feel what it is like to be a whale, at the same time it would bring in revenue for Steemit!
Stipulation
There would be one stipulation though and that is that you would only be allowed to vote on your own post 4-6 times with this virtual Steem power. And the voting weight would only amount to $50 in total Steem power and SBD because if it equals more then you are paying then it is losing the platform money, so maybe it could only equal $48 or $45 in total weight so that it is bringing in revenue.

yes! this serves as a replacement for advertisements. Basically advertisers can pay a fee to upvote, but there are no annoying banners or what is normally perceived as obnoxious ads
Since the steemit account isnt active, maybe just lease a portion of its powers,could be $50 plans, $500 plans even $5000 plans
I dont see any point in implementing this? so you want to vote on your own post with a limit of 50$. you will receive 25$ and 25$ worth of SP.
The 50$ you put into Steem would be 100% paid back to you, and would just be a LOAN, there would be 0 earning potential for Steemit with this concept.
and i think it wont be technically possible, all SP are recorded in the blockchain, so i assume it wont be possible to add virtual Steam Power.
this would be basically just be a form of free upvoting your post, as you will receive 100% of your invest back.
I dont see any chance in 1000 years, that this idea will be implemented.

No I put in the article you can only upvote your own post a maximum of 4 to 5 times on your own posts. Your voting power goes down each time you vote.

Could be done but I am not sure that many would like to do this. Still good idea. And need to make sure this does not get abused.
Yes for sure that is why I would limit voting on your own posts to 4-5 times in the 24 hour period. And your voting power would still go down you just have more SP for 24 hours.

This is a good idea, but I could possibly seeing people abuse it though. What is stopping someone from upvoteing a second account of theirs or a friends?
Yeah but what is stopping a regular whale from up voting their friends right now too? It goes both ways there are always going to be people who abuse the system. I am sure some people only upvote their friends in the existing system as well. This is just to create a frenzie for everyone and give everyone a chance to be a whale! It would not go past $45 or $48 dollars worth of SBD and SP combined in rewards. It is to create revenue and make it fun for everyone!

Good idea , but bot owners will game this very fast and the virtual 50,000 Steem Power balance would be worthless very fast , not to mention the whales are going to be pissed real bad .
Let's just become whales the old fashioned way. You know, work for it or get lucky.
This would not be to become a whale yourself you would be spending a lot more money trying to make yourself a whale then if you just bought SP.
I understand that but this is cheating the system. Not everyone can be a whale. Pareto's law my friend. I'm plankton and dream of being a whale and I'm against this idea. Just an opinion. No hard feelings.
