Finding Hidden Treasure on Steemit - The First Find is: @lily-da-vine
There are thousands of bloggers on Steemit, and each one has a story to tell, information to share, and friendship to offer. There are curation "services" which make an effort to find great articles and share them to give authors the cherished exposure of their work.
In my short time on Steemit, I've already encountered some interesting people. My goal, here in my little corner of Steemit, is to share with you interesting authors I that I find. To tell you something about the author and their work, so that you can check them out for yourself to see if their interests overlap with yours, and if you would like to follow them.
My first find that I want to share with you is @lily-da-vine. @lily-da-vine joined Steemit in August 2016 and has a unique story of being on the run and having escaped to Mexico from the U.S. roughly two years ago. This recent post https://steemit.com/steemit/@lily-da-vine/1500-followers-on-steemit-how-we-made-it-here-while-on-the-run tells you highlights of their story and references previous posts that go in to more details on some of the topics. This post also tells us that they will be making new dedicated posts to include their older posts telling their story, for their new followers. Something to look forward to for sure.
@lily-da-vine generally posts multiple times a day on various topics, often talking about food, homesteading, and life in Acapulco. This recent post https://steemit.com/photography/@lily-da-vine/adventures-around-acapulco-central-market-honey-cart-and-chickens takes you with photos around a central market in Acapulco.
You can expect to see honesty in the posts @lily-da-vine puts up such as sharing some struggles and maybe less then good decisions and their consequences in this posts series https://steemit.com/photography/@lily-da-vine/the-shelf-from-hell-part-3-firing-our-compadre-again. And, you can get an answer to your comments, if your comment merits an answer and is more than "nice post", because @lily-da-vine appears to be actively engaged with followers and answers comments.
So if you find the topics explored by @lily-da-vine interesting or you're just fascinated by their story, consider following and interacting, you might see the them as a hidden treasure too.
