ULOG 10 | What do I want to Contribute in STEEMGIGS ?

What is Steemgigs ?

Steemgigs was the idea of our boy Terry aka @surpassinggoogle that deals on giving everyone a fair chance to offer something. The idea of the Steemgigs comes from the fiverr allowing everyone to offer freelance services ranging from graphic designing, music or audio editing, writing & translations, proofreading, video and animation editing and many more.

Here Steemgigs aims to make all steemians offer their skills and services (way more better) in exchange of Steem or Steem Dollar. Steemgigs not focuses on someones true talent, as long as you can provide the service that a customer was asking you are free to offer your service.

All you need to do is make a post about the service or products that you can offer and wait for a customer to contact you, just make sure to consider #steemgig or #steemgigs in one of your tags.

So what will I offer ? Will I offer a service ? Will I offer a product ?

I don't have any exceptional skills to offer and to begin with

I was not a talented designer who can make awesome design in your website and edit your images
I was not a talented animator that can make 3-dimensional videos and caricature picture that will catch your attention
I don't have that exceptional knowledge in using the english language that will help you correct your grammars and sentences

Well I do know how to edit pictures and videos but all can edit those things. However, not all have those exceptional skills and talent that can earn big money and profits. I was just a normal guy, can say that know bunch of things but don't have this talent

What I want to contribute in Steemgigs was a tag, I want to start a new tag named #steemit-scholar

Actually this idea comes to me after hearing @surpassinggoogle's discord talk about his dreams. He dreams to take steemit on the first page of every google search, making steemit posts the suggested results in our google search. I was making my documentation for my research study when I hear his dream and it somehow occurs to me that it would be great if @surpassinggoogle can make this dream come true.

Thinking that a researcher like me that time was searching for an article that can be used in his/her research study will be popping out on the uppermost and first page of the google search.

The tag would be like the Google Scholar filtering all the results of a steemit or google search. In addition (if the contribution that I was planning was been made and implemented in steemgigs) the tag will also allow steemians to upload Portable Document Format (PDF) files in the steem blockchain.
This side feature of the Steemgigs will allow us to upload some of our articles in a PDF format allowing some students to cite our works and posts. I was also planning to allow PDF versions of books to be uploaded in the steem blockchain.

As a student it was hard for me finding books, articles, journals and resources in my research study. I always need to have supporting articles in my research documentation, and having a decent filtering platform will help me reduce time. Let's also considerate the Google Scholar always providing books and articles that was for sale in some shopping sites.

Why ride in Steemgigs ?

Well I see @surpassinggoogle in helping as many steemians as he can, but the main reason is I don't have any resources that can manage and cater my idea. It really was a shame using the kindness of our beloved @surpassinggoogle but that was the only way I could now think of . It will now be depending on your point of view if you see my idea crossing the line.

How determined I was in this contribution ?

Despite this idea was not yet reaching the mind of the Steemgigs I make some research and studying how to implement it (if ever). I now knew a couple of things that will help me make this come true, however, I was not yet close in making this succeed.

Well I was not bragging out but I was near in finishing my course as a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology student, the truth is I was a GRADWAITING STUDENT (to know about me being a gradwaiting student click here).

I was not a very skillful programmer but I do know a little about programming, the problem is I was not used in making projects in websites so I was still familiarizing myself into it. I was used in making desktop applications and software but as of now, with myself studying making websites I now know how to take PDF files in the platform. The only problem that I was now studying was allowing a user to upload and download PDF file(s) in the steem blockchain.

Well it surely will take time before I can manage to make a big progress but I was taking one step at a time for it. And I was really determined as I know that this would really help many students in the future.
