Relax guys! I'm sure the rebranding will come part and parcel with the new 1.0 version of Steemit getting outta beta. If I'm right, we should be getting ready for a new Steemit with communities and all! November might just be a month to remember.

This is my view point too. It is tough now on steemit and it's not healthy at all. I wonder if there's concern for the sorry state of things..... There doesn't seem to be.
I can fully relate to these statements. You are expressing the needs and the interests of the people that really matter: the end-users of Steemit. I've made a post to analyse a possible cause for the poor performance of the website lately.

There definitely seems to be a lot of bugs these days that needs fixing. It's making Steemit hectic to use and also makes us lazy to post because of all the lagging. Hope it'll be fixed soon :)
Why talk about or bring up points off topic? Who the hell cares what color the new logo is other than the 100's who have spent money buying merchandise using the current logo but what the hell does a whale like @ned care about the little guy? That's what happens when a few withhold the majority of the company privately, they need write off's at the expense of the rest of us.

Probably all SORTS of big names with large followings! All of these new things, the new features, and the registration bottleneck gone, I am filly confident in our ability to break the million user milestone early next year and for Steemit to perform price wise will be just a Bonus! Ill be having SO much fun earning post and comment rewards after steem its UI is upgraded that the price of steem will be a bonus! OH and then Steem Hardfork I know ALL the problems will be solved that people are facing nwo and WOW a LOT of effort is being put into these changes I know! No, I don't think a new logo is what is needed. It could be if there was a clear sense of direction. But I cannot see it.

I agree with your sense of priorities, echoed by others in the thread and elsewhere as well...
But I think we can all take a step back and have some fun. I highly doubt the new logo negatively impacted developer workflow at all. At least I certainly hope logo design and coding aren’t being done by the same person (unless they’re crazy talented at everything!)
We can continue to rightfully push for progress and improvements, but I hate to make the false judgement that Steemit Inc. is working on logos instead of site improvements. The two are most likely mutually exclusive!
Well since I've worked on logotypes much of my entire life, I have some experience in the field. And l am certain it is not the answer to all publicity. In this case I have the feeling it is more a diversion than a solution. I might be wrong, but I am not wrong when I say there are other priorities other than visual appearance that would benefit steem and steemit more. Like the total lack of vision and ambition.

It is the ultimate example why crowdsourced marketing does not work. Since he started his campaign, steem is down 80% roughly.

wow I cant wait until we get more people like Alex Jones onto Steemit! Infowars is the best bet for promoting steemit because we would be able to get millions of new users especially if Alex Jones told his listeners that the new platform to compete with the globalists is here! He has been Waiting for this sort of platform! And those pictures remind of of Austin Taxes and I love how Steemit Inc recently moved their offices to Austin Texas and how Alex Jones is also in Austin! Really, I think a better use of time than getting new T-shirts printed for the people that should have been working on the posting, updating, and other misc. errors, would have been you lecturing them on job performance, not handing out new t-shirts.
Steemfest2 is closing in pretty quick, is steemit still going to be broke then, and what will you say,---"You can always use Busy.org"----. It is called steemfest2, not busyfest1. Put your people to work, fixing some of the minor errors and problems, then worry about a new logo.

Although Steem has many problems, the next hardfork will solve many of them, It can happen fast and most of the issues will be fixed, including account registration bottleneck with mining your own accounts and ALSO steemit is rarely down now , we did have that DDOS attack but you can't blame them for that, ALSO if you download the Vessel desktop steem walet by @jesta you can always access your steem, powerdown, transfer SBD all from a desktop wallet no matter if steemit.com or busy.org are up or down! the nodes were still up and the steemit blockchain is vast and secure and will always stay up , no one will accomplish shutting down every node unless maybe an actual Government funds the purchase of multiple zero day exploits on multiple servers all across the world it would be a monumental task to shut down steemit and its going to be lasting a LONG time its here to stay! it IS the new internet! @wearechange and @laurensouthern and @keiserreport is on steemit so yeah only a matter of time before all those people join steemit!

How is posing for t-shirts fixing the problems. Since the DDOS attack, steemit has been slow, and loaded with errors when trying to post or to comment or to upvote. Software companies are always quick to say yes there is a problem, But it will be fixed in our next upgrade. I understand that steemit is in BETA mode, where is the easy to find suggestion box for improvement suggestions? Where is the easy to find, Uh we have a problem drop box. There are none.
Also on a besides - - What do I give a shit about some two bit alt media hustlers being on steemit, when 1/3 of those you mentioned is evidently not even the real person. I am not here to listen to Religious, or Political Pundits. They are as far as I am concerned meaningless. Now if you were to "advertise"to me that Stephen King, Or W.M. Gear, or Jenna Black, were on steemit, then I might care. One of the 3 you probably recognize, the other 2 maybe not.
In conclusion, I signed up to steemit, not to busy, not to bbchain, not to other third parties, to gain access to the blockchain social side. If another host, company, or website, needs my steemit password, then I do not need that site, and they can build their own front door to the blockchain instead of serving as a backdoor to steemit.

you complain a lot for someone who does not have much stake at al... you barely have $100 worth of steempower, and you didn't buy any of it you got it all from posting so youre not an investor, you obviously don't believe in the platform or it's ability to grow... you don't have much stake and if you believed in steemit or if you would have been here longer than August you would have been here during a hard fork and yu would have known what its like to see steemit upgrade its entire network, you just dont get how it works i guess, youve only been here a couple months, its pretty crazy how much you can learn if you spend the time and also ask around and learn why things are the way you are
Its a miracle steemit even works the way it does and youre not gving a specific answer about what exactly is wrong.

You are right I am not an investor, and I am not a programmer.
Actually I do believe in the platform as a Social Media and for it's ability to grow. Github may look easy for a programmer to use, but for a non-programmer, well it's pretty much like Greek to me. (HS only)
I have in and on other post made comments about specific problems. Here are a few that have been pointed out, some of which have also been pointed out to and by witnesses (@timcliff, @arcange, and @somguy123) having to post comments more than once before they take, having to vote more than once before they take, timeout errors, ws errors, and a few other errors that right now I can not remember. They have been documented on several post as I said.
Just how would I have known about steemit before August? My wife's friend told her about it, and she told me about it. I tried FB, YT, G+, and even had a twitter account. None of those really got used because I did not need a Social Media outlet that was mostly about the look at me generation.
You mentioned these people, so I may have made an incorrect assumption that you enjoy the political sides of Social media. I do not. I enjoy reading, so yes I am going to mention people that I would like to see on steemit, so sue me, we have different likes, so what. I think we actually agree on this, the more diversified the content is the better for everyone and for steemit.
I have asked around, Look at some of the complaints from people that have been here for over a year, It is not just us new users that are having issues and problems. I am not the only one that does not know where to go and find help or who to let know that I think there is a problem. That is why I have left messages for @timcliff, he at least tries to help. As an example visit @everittdmickey blog/post, he is a what many consider a Quality Content creator, he Joined August 2016.
I am sorry if anything in my post bother you, but the reality of the way steemit works is there is nowhere to go and blow of steem when things do not work right, other than in post such as this that may catch the eye of one of the developers. Again I apologize if I have upset anyone with the complaints.

I am currently using cnsteem.com (a clone developed by @skenan) to read all of these. Didn't know there is also a steemitstage.com similar... What does it do? Just a backup?
It appears to be the front end for the development/testing/staging versions of steemit.
