Typical Spanish potato omelette rebuilt
For this weeks Steemit Iron Chef contest I decided to make a typical Spanish dish, potato omelette with peppers, but in a modern way. Although I also leave the traditional recipe. I recommend you try it.
Recipe:
Ingredients:
The quantities of potatoes and eggs depend on how big we want the omelette. For this one I used two large potatoes and 5 medium eggs and a quarter onion.
Started!!
1- Peel the potatoes and onion and cut as in the photo.
2- Fry the potatoes and onion over medium heat with olive oil until soft.
3- Meanwhile beat the eggs in a bowl and add the salt to taste.
4- while they are making the potatoes go crushing with a wooden spoon or fork.
5- When the potatoes with the onion are soft, drain with a slotted spoon and mix with the eggs.
( for the traditional recipe we will put the mixture in a pan with a little oil and brown on both sides. To turn the omelette over I use a plate ;) )
6- Fill the peppers with the mixture.
7- Fry the peppers in plenty of oil. eye!!!! that jump.
8- ready to place.

Wow, I have never seen an omelette stuffed into a pepper before. That's genius! I wish I had one in front of me right now. Unfortunately I'm out of peppers right now. I'll have to pick some up and give this a go. Thanks for sharing.
