Move Mirror lets us explore fun pictures. Open your camera and find people who have the same pose as you have fun. The computer is syncing photos to you simultaneously.
The ability to perceive people and poses from imagery or image data is one of the most exciting - and difficult - topics of machine learning and computer vision. Lately, Google has shared PoseNet: the latest model of exposure estimation (even if these images are fuzzy, low-resolution or black-and-white) provide high accuracy exposure to the image data. This is the story of what we need to build this exposure estimation library for the web.

A fun program called Move Mirror that lets you explore pictures in the browser. It follows your movements and turns your movements into all kinds of human action. When doing sports, cooking or playing games. Publishing your experience means that other people can use it.

Anything that has google backing is probably a sure thing. Having said that, this project looks pretty cool, I think the old typewriter font on their website adds to it as well haha.
Pros:
Cons:
Overall it's kind of cool, would like to see how they plan to use this in the future, hopefully more than just make GIF's from it
I think the amazing thing here isn't the fact that you can get a picture which pretty well matches your posture, but rather that they've been able to train an AI to determine were all your limbs are moving just from pictures in a room with previously unknown light settings.
Just imagine how useful this could be for analyzing surveilance footage. Instead of watching through hours or days of surveilance video, you could just let a program scan all videos for a human action which matches what you're looking for. This is just an example of the top of my head.
The app itself serves no purpose other than being cool and attracting attention. I did try Move Mirror. In my opinion it didn't work well enough to give me the impression that the people in the pictures were moving like me. It seemed more like a laggy sequence of random images, so I suspect that they've spent some time finding good examples for advertising. Super cool, nonetheless.
Great hunt @thomasd4v! This hunt has been verified and approved by the Steemhunt Moderation Team. Great job! Happy hunting.
Thank you :)
Never knew such type of machine learning algorithm was available for users to access , infact i think it can be a great aid for people who are trying to build something realting to geture control.loved the gif support idea and the machine learning algorithm google made ofcourse :-)
awesome hunt !
I really like the Google experiments, I haven't actually seen this one before and looks interesting. I think these experiments go along way in A) showing real working examples of the technology and B) providing an easy to understand a digestive way to understand the technology (albeit a high-level understanding). Nice hunt :)
Thank you. I love google. Really nice technology.
