This announcement has been updated again. Due to the rate of voting power erosion, having 500 upvotes of review comments is still problematic, so we decided to reduce the number to 100. So @steemhunt will upvote 100 review comments per day by random selection with 1/n voting power.

Hello Hunters!

There is one more change for the @steemhunt upvoting rules when it comes to reviewing comments. Yesterday there were 821 review comments, and 704 got upvoted. We can expect that the number of review comments will become even higher day by day. This will cause two issues:

1. Total upvoting time by @steemhunt will become delayed by the latency time between upvotes.
2. Average payout per review comment will be lower and lower.

So, we decided to make a new rule for the upvoting on review comments.

@steemhunt will upvote only 100 review comments in complete randomized selections.

Even though there are more than 500, 1000, 2000 ... review comments per day on Steemhunt, our voting bot will choose only 500 comments with random selection only when they meet our review comment guidelines as below:

1. Only one review comment per post per person will be counted. We discovered that some users keep duplicating the same review comments on each hunting post to get more @steemhunt upvotes. This won't be possible anymore.
2. Minimum length of the review comment must be over 80 characters. Some people wrote short meaningless comments just to get upvotes. These comments won't be upvoted anymore.
3. Reviewers MUST upvote the hunting post that he or she reviews by at least 50% voting weight. So, if you are a genuine reviewer who wants to share pros and cons of the product, this means that you got value from the hunter's post. Thus, it is very natural for you to upvote the hunting post. From now on, the @steemhunt bot will check whether the reviewer upvoted the hunting post by at least 50% or more voting weight.
4. Reviewers CANNOT post on their own hunts. If you want to add your opinion about the product that you are hunting, you can simply add it in your hunter's comment field, rather than a review comment for your own post. The @steemhunt bot will also check whether the hunter and reviewer is the same account holder, and if so, it won't upvote.

This new rule is effective frome June 5, 2018 (KST).
