Odysseus is a solar-powered aircraft developed by Aurora Flight Sciences which is a subsidiary of Boeing.

Odysseus' solar-powered technology will help long and high-altitude flights. This will essentially be used to perform climate and atmospheric research.

This autonomous aircraft is capable of carrying a larger payload as compared to any other similar aircraft and can also remain persistent on-station.

First flight of this plane is planned in Spring 2019.

    Aircraft with an integrated solar works for me. This is good is cost reductions, and with it more load can be carried thanks to it payload capabilities

      This is one of my favorite things to see. Is there anything that will not be solar driven in a few years? The idea of solar powered aircraft is really exciting. Planes can usually fly above the clouds exposing themselves to sun all the time.
