In support to those affected by the recent earthquake in Mexico with epicenter in Oaxaca, Bitso has enabled donation wallets. Unfortunately, some people have lost their homes, their belongings, and sadly even the lives of their loved ones. We are hoping this aid will help them return to their daily activities as soon as possible.

The total amount raised will be exchanged for Mexican Pesos (MXN) on Friday the 15th of September after 12pm at market rates.

Should any funds be received after the defined deadline, Bitso will again make an exchange of the received funds between Friday the 15th and Friday the 22nd, and finally wire them to the CRUZ ROJA MEXICANA.
The size of the donation does not matter, all transactions count and will be of great aid to those that are currently affected.
Bitso will begin the fundraising by donating MXN$50,000. The amount will be added to the total amount sent by users.
The amount raised, as well as the transaction proof, will be publicly published for total transparency in the process.

Important: BITSO will not make any user contributions tax deductible. Mexican Pesos will be transferred on behalf of third parties according to Mexican law LISR artículo 35, and the following TIN XAXX010101000 will be used in order to generate the corresponding payment as “General Public Invoice”.
