#Steemgig for Charity and 🌀 15 SBD for Steemians!

in #steemgigs7 years ago (edited)

I admit it! I have a space where I just don't want to go 'cause of how full of stuff it is. But it's a work in progress, if I can stick with it..!

Do you have a closet, room, or garage that make you feel like this?

Then let me help you clean it up for a good cause!

I propose a #charitysteemgig, to give 15 SBD, to be divided by 3 to 5 steemians who do the following:

#CharitySteemGig Mission: To give to a charitable organization, at least 2x, full or nearly full, green garbage type bags (or the equivalent,) of used (but clean and still usable,) clothing, toys, books, linens, shoes, or other necessities... (If you have lots of big bulky stuff like blankets or jackets, let's make it 3 bags!)

  1. Take a photo or two, of some of the stuff that is going in the bags.
  2. Do something to make us realize you made the donation, like by attaching a sticker, or paper that says Steemit onto one of the bags. Or by taking a photo of you or someone else holding up the current date and a bag-full.
  3. Take a photo of yourself or someone putting them in the charity's dropbox, or walking into the drop-off centre with them. (Can combine with no. 2.) (No need to ever show your face.)
  4. Make a post on your own blog, with your photos and telling us about what you did, or if you want, about the charity, or who it will benefit. Please tag your post with #steemgigs and if you want, #charitysteemgigs. Tag it however else you want too!
  5. Drop a link to your post in the comments of this article.
  6. Optional, but I'd love it if you resteemed this post, and I'll be doing so for yours too!
  7. Remember that you're doing this for the sake of something good, some higher purpose that you see, something more important than receiving 3 or 5 SBD!
  8. Bonus mitzvah/karma/brownie points if you involve kids in the giving!

Pretty easy! Grab some old stuff you don't need anymore, put it it a couple of these...

(Modified from source)

And make a post, and comment here after generously putting them in one of these, (or some other equivalent...)

*I'm sorry, but if less than 3 people do the #charitysteemgig, each person will receive 5 SBD. If more than 5 participate, it'll be 3 SBD each, for the first 5 who fulfill the objectives. (I guess this offer remains valid until the payout of this post. But I might do something similar again afterwards.)

If I wasn't clear or you have any questions, please ask :)

Fantastic initiative!

Thank you, mention me in the replies or blog so I can take a look!

Oh sorry for the confusion, I was referring to this post :)

Thanks also though!

Okay, and again, cool post :)

Great initiative. We gave away old clothes last month here in India.

Didn't click photos. Never felt like.

Still happy to see this happening here. :)

I hope it works out, thanks!

Nice to hear that people enjoy giving!

I truly find joy in giving to kids and elders.

Teens never make it my list because they have control over the situation - they can, if they are aware.

No kids deserves streets. Or a meal-less sleep. As unfortunate as it sounds, many kids are left with no option but to live poorly. Especially here in India. I wish to change that. Don't know how....

Been a dream ever since I was a kid myself, secretly wishing for things that we couldn't afford, wondering if this is the life I signed up for.

Oh my. Got me emotional there. :)

Life's good now. Yet to make it better for everyone else is the next plan!

I wish to have more power and authority in the future. More influence, so I could change few lives and make this society a better place before I leave.

Thank you for your wishes.

I'm sure you find many ways to help people, even with seemingly little power. And I'm sure you'll find many more :)

Thank you! There's a smile on my face. Life is all good. One day I hope it gets a lot more better as we push through boundaries.

Together we shall.

Cheers! :)

@kus-knee #steemgigs is becoming more interesting. Steemians are trying new creativity. Many on steemit are fans of some good stuff, let's see, starting with the young ones, @rahulstan @deepapoudel @aashishkandel see if you can have fun with this one. There is @clayboyn @ausbitbank @steemitcitizen @jaybird @verbal-d @papa-pepper @steemit-life @tamim @anotherjoe @surfermarly @dreemit @sidwrites you may want to play with this one or learn a thing or two about playful steemit posting! @papa-pepper you just may find another adventurous game idea from this post! @andrarchy spoke about good use for crap lately; "now this is it!"

Sure would be neat if a few "young ones" make a post with this idea! Thanks for getting the creativity flowing!

People will. Hopefully, when we get to the project stage post submitted to steemit, and #steemgigs becomes a popular as #til once was, it will appeal to steemians better. We want to get more movement before submitting the project proposal!

Just great initiative!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks! I hope we got some good stuff given for charity!
