Steemfest Review - Some Feedback

Team Steemfest and @roelandp want our feedback on Steemfest 2 in Lisbon. I was about to hand it in, but then, why not just share it publicly. I have only nice things to say anyway!

• Based on your experience at SteemFest, how likely are you to attend future SteemFests?

Most def! I was hyped up about it as soon as I heard it is happening and now that I’ve seen it and felt the vibe I can’t wait for the next one!

• Was this year first or second SteemFest?

This is my first one. I wasn’t there in Amsterdam in 2016 but I imagine it was roughly the same size. 150 to 315 is double, true, but still it’s not that many people. I expect at least a 1000 next year.

• What do you think of the SteemFest ticket price?

It’s hefty. No way to put it differently. The reason is that the event aims to provide maximal luxury, so no wonder. You can’t rent out entire buildings for day at a time and then make it free entrance, drinks and food. It’s bound to come with a price tag. Still, I highly commend the tiered pricing and I am very grateful for bigger shareholder who actually made this possible. Minnow tickets must have covered only the bare minimum.

• What do you think of the SteemFest Food & Beverage at the event?

Free macro beer! Free wine and even heavy liquor! Need I say more? Amazing! I truly did not expect this level of convenience! Food was great and service spectacular.

• What do you think of the SteemFest CONFERENCE/TALKS program?

It ranged from highly technical to very down to basic talks, everyone could have found something for themselves and there were minimum overlaps. Great!

• What do you think of the SteemFest SOCIAL program?

There could have been more guided ideas on what to do over the weekend in the absence of localised talks. I’m not complaining but people were somewhat confused on where to go and what to do. Maybe a few individuals could offer a guided tour and announce it in advance. I’d have loved to spend more time with more people. Though, @detlev and I made great use of time looking for the best craft beer around Lisbon! Join #beersaturday people!

• What was your favorite part of SteemFest?

The people of course. Just meeting some of you face to face was a reality check. It’s really happening!

• What was your least favorite part of SteemFest?

How hard it was to keep up with everything. So many conversations and so many hours of intent listening. You just can’t get to everyone and everything.

• Any suggestions you can give to make SteemFest better next time?

I’m hoping @detlev and I can make an effort to explore craft pubs at the location and offer a social gathering / pub crawl on a certain day. I’d love some feedback on the idea!

• IMHO next SteemFest (3) should be in:

Eastern Europe. Simply because of the price. Try not to put it somewhere exclusive!
