2nd April World Autism Awareness Day {Blue Day} Challenge

Since April 2 2007 (with the United Nations resolution) , in order to help inform society about autism spectrum disorders and the need for acceptance and integration of people with autism and their families, we celebrate the Autism Awareness Day - The Blue Day.

Qatar initially marked the International Day of Autism Awareness, noted in recent years as one of the few phenomena that has overcome barriers - cultural and religious differences being celebrated through joint action by all UN member states.

On this occasion, organizations and countries across the globe promote initiatives and policies to improve the quality of life of people affected by these disorder.

Initiatives range from fundraising, launching new services and more importantly, awareness among the general public.

1 in 68 children suffer from a form of autism - one of the most common childhood disorders.

The lack of information, of specialists lead to delayed diagnosis or therapeutic intervention, because of the nonexistent funds.

A great day for all kind of events that regard acitivites, of course the main purpose is autism awareness, but on the other hand, to give informations and awareness regarding the importance of early detection of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

Autism is a spectrum disorder, which is why people with autism are very different, some can talk, others do not; some can learn visually, some auditory; some are social, others less.

Autism can not be cured, but can recover!

Through intensive early intervention to 47% of children with autism can live independently, can recover so much that they can not be distinguished from other children.

Without treatment, symptoms of autism and dysfunctional behaviors worsen over time.

I challenge you, my dear #steemians #friends to be blue this week, for the love of the kids all around the world.

You just need to post the picture I made with the blue butterfly and talk about anything you want regarding children.

I hope this will raise up some awareness around the #Steemit about what Autism means and why do we need to know what it is actually.

I challenge :

Love, @laviniatherapist!

This is a noble goal. I will try to post something today, although I can't promise. I have always respected the people that work with children as they have the most influence on their development. Sadly I didn't have very good teachers despite graduating from a very good college. I would love to see the educational system being boosted in some way and brought to the present. I still dream of complementary online studying in addition to the revamped school system.

This is another interesting subject to discuss...and you are so wright, the system has problems...big ones...I hope in the future this issue will be gone, but depends on the people who choose to become teachers.

I will definitely try and write a post up. I was diagnosed with Aspergers when I was in elementary school. Its made for quite the interesting life. I'll drop the link as a reply to this comment for anyone who is intrested!

Thank you for doing this!

Thank you so much dear @prIndra! You are a wonder like the rest of the kids that I work with! God bless you!
