TODAY, I CURATED AND LEARNT FROM #STEEMCHURCH POSTS - It was Indeed a Blessing

in #steemchurch6 years ago (edited)

I am so thrilled this evening to make this post today. My stems from the fact that while I decided to make a light curation on posts created on the #steemchurch category, the great @Sirknight was also burning the mid-night oil curating and reading posts of the steemchurch parishioners.

SirKnight has been home at his castle. Up to the early hours of the mornings, reading and rereading the posts of SteemChurch Parishioners. - @Sirknight

It therefore gladens my heart to use a screenshot of the image he used for his latest post

SteemChurch: We're making a list; we're checking it twice!

I actually started my curation at about 11:00 (GMT+1) today and it took about 8 hours before I started constructing this review post. Apart from being a teacher, I am a researcher and a data analyst, reading and reviewing is fun for me. I count it all joy to use this skill to edify the @Steemchurch communities.

According to @Surpassinggoogle, curation goes beyond an upvote. Resteems and comments are part of curation exercise. While resteems can showcase our posts to a wider reach and users, comments tend to build up our ideas and by either adding to it or a constructive critique. Thus, I was so blessed and I learnt so much while I curated about 15 posts of #Steemchurch parishioners. Only 7 is presented in this post. Others will be coming later.

Curation 1:

My first port of call today was a post made by by @ammyluv. She dedicated her post to detailing us on how to know and love God with the attendant blessings. According to her:

Now, knowing God is not all about what He can do or what we stand to gain physically. Knowing Him is all about our personal walk with Him, how high we've placed Him in our hearts, how much we love and are willing to obey His commandments. The bible says if we love Him, we will keep His commandments. Knowing God is not all about serving Him at your convenience or whenever we are in need. It goes beyond all these.

Here was my response:

Loving God entails giving Hi everything of ours, time, strength, heart, mind soul, ... Whenever we come to this resolve, obeying Him becomes a normal life. Thanks @ammyluv or sharing this.

I was deeply hit by the post made by the official steemit handle of the @Steemchurch parish in Ghana - @sc-g. The post was directed to members of all the #Steemchurch communities - @steemchurch, @farms, @steemcourt, @sc-g, @sc-n, @sc-v and posed a question as to whether we are we working hard, are we honest in our work following the decline in the engagement of members in activities of the #Steemchurch in recent days.

Let me ask parishioners , do we believe in the vision of our leader @sirknight for freedom fighting...? If NO then we need start now and if YES then are we working hard, bein ghonest to the church and what excuse do we have.

Here was my response:

Thank you @sc-g for this charge. I have not been to my best personally. It's time to wake up and I will be a true #Steemchurch Ambassador. I'll always tag @sc-g to my daily @Steemchurch posts at least in the first ten days to be sure am living up to my commitment. Thanks

It was a call to action for me and that is why I have actually started doing this today as part of my commitment. We all have accepted to support the vision of the great @Sirknight to preach freedom to the people of the STEEM blockchain, and so must we do.

Curation 3

It was beautiful to behold the good work done by @sc-v as the team of @sc-v took smiles to the children that make up the sector el Granadillo, Cantaura state Anzoategui. The motivation for this gesture was presented thus:

As everything that is done from this community is based on perseverance, perseverance of a great work team that God himself has been consolidating, we set ourselves the challenge of bringing a day of joy to these little ones, although the place is a bit remote from our place of residence, we did what we do best, place everything in the hands of the Lord, and as always supporting his work here on earth, we fulfill our objective.

In my response, I had this to say: (edited)

Great work you are doing @sc-v. Keep touching lives and preaching freedom.
Long live @sc-v
Long live @Steemchurch
Long live @Sirknight

I visited @tikhub's blog and had a fill of his post on "Praying in the Spirit". According to him,

Praying in the Spirit is a powerful weapon given to us by God to develop our lives. It basically implies Spirit-drove petitions, which incorporate but are not restricted to praying in tongues. But how would I supplicate in the Spirit?

My response went thus:

When we pray in the Spirit, it shows our total dependability on God. It leverages us of our strengths and strengthens us for the supernatural. Thanks @Tikhub for sharing this.

It is pertinent for all of us here to know that our battle is not of the flesh that needs human and carnal wisdom, rather, we are wrestling against spiritual powers and wisdom and praying in the spirit is one of the languages that are well understood by these forces while we war against them. I pray God will give us victory - Amen.

Another post that went deep down my loins and reminded me of many things was @darlenys01's post which had a focal scriptures from 2 Corinthians 10: 4 and 2 Chronicles 20:15. Every part of the post was heavy, but I wish to share a little thus:

If there are people who rise up against you, do not fear because they do not arise by chance, but it is part of the purpose they must fulfill in your life: Jesus needs Judas, Jose needs his brothers, the builders of God's dreams they will always go through betrayal. Trust in God and in his word, I personally love the promise that the Lord left me in Isaiah : 54: 17-18

No weapon forged against you, will prosper, and you shall condemn every tongue that rises up against you in judgment. This is the inheritance of the servants of Jehovah: his salvation from me will come, says the LORD.

Here was my response:

This is a powerful booster for today by @darlenys01. God will always breed confusion in the camp of our enemy if we so trust God such that the gets astonished that the dart he threw wouldn't hurt you. Our life of faith and total believe in God's promise as Jehoshaphat did will always guarantee our victory. God also did it for David when he prayed God to turn Ahitophels's counsel to foolishness. God is still at work even to day to confuse our enemy.

Curation 6

It was all-joy to visit @greatness96's blog who emphasised the need to flee from iniquity. In his words:

Whenever we compromise this Divine standard for holiness, our love becomes cold and ready to die.
Brethren, iniquity is any injustice, sinful act committed against God and people, long enough that it overwhelm the culprit. It is a state of knowingly disobeying God.

Here was my response:

Iniquity separates us from God, his shield and protection. We got to FLEEEEEE! Thanks @greatness96

Again, I stumbled @iksilva's post on giving and this time, he had his focal scripture from Mark 14:3-5:

3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment. 4 Then saith one of hig disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon 's son, vollich should betray him, 5 was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? 6 This he said, not that he cared For the poor; but because a thief, and had the bag, and bare )what was put therein.

In his words:

Our attitude to Jesus and the church should always be to give instead of seeing the church programmes and projects as opportunities to make gains

Here was my response:

Yeah, @Iksilva. God has made us to e CHANNELS not reservir. The blessings he bestows on us are to shared not hoarded. It is better to give than to take. Thanks for this morning charge.

Wow! Beautiful! I love this. The bible says we are the chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation & God's own special people. And with our founder @sirknight right besides us, we shall rule the world.

It was an honor to get a resteem from @sc-n Hence, giving me the enabling environment to share the gospel with everyone. Thank you @sc-n & more grace.

Yeah @ammyluv, God promised that our lines will fall in pleasant places. The blockchain is not left out in the process.
